Fairy Tale featuring CubicHoney0146 is
an ongoing story about a video-game avatar who learns what it means to be something, and who wonders what it might be like to be something else. He overcomes obstacles and meets other beings like and not-like himself.
In the last installment, he was torn limb from limb by an angry mob of avatars. Who were angry, and their anger was a result of the fear of the new Forbidden Fruit that now grew in the fields after a great Storm came through the land for the very first time.

Part 31
CubicHoney0146 awoke again in a large, windowless room. He was surrounded by books, cases upon cases of them. He was seated in a wooden chair, and across the lamplit desk between them sat a ghastly-looking avatar, the blue-grey skin of his face in shreds. One ear missing.
One putrefying mass, this WisePants47109. Such as the name he'd shared with Cubic Honey.
"I welded you back together. You weren't dead. Merely permanently unconscious. Until I re-collected and reassembled all your pieces."
"I learned how in these here books."
"You see, the thing about these people -- the avatars who tore you up -- they're afraid of what they don't understand. And since they never spend anytime in these Archives, they don't understand much. Well, they do...and they don't.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is that they are driven by the fear of failure. They are so afraid some cosmic storm is going to fly by and blow their world to bits that they forget that they can turn their own fear into some unsuspecting fool's calamity. Not to say you are a fool...and not that you are not a fool, either.
"But I digress, the point I was making, is that you'll fast learn in these Archives that things could always be worse. And that they could always get worse, too."
Humor was, it seemed, something elemental that traveled the atmosphere, just as the witness Cubic Honey now bore of the juxtaposition of Wise Pants's verbose predilection with the rotting disposition of Wise Pants's zombified form, struck Cubic Honey, rattled him, almost funny, until he felt the rumbling ghost of almost-laughter in his gut.
And all of this contrasted with the utmost seriousness with which Wise Pants was rambling on. He stopped mid-sentence, and said: "What in earth do you find so funny in any of this?"

Oh, I like to add beneficiaries often enough to my posts, but if it's a problem I won't do it. Thanks
