This is one of the pictures I liked while randomly clicking when I took a walk in the town some time ago.
I was very lucky to have seen and took a remembrance of this wonderful view; a wonderfully colored sunset behind a barren-looking tree which I see on the images I found online.
We had a long dry season at this time, perhaps due to climate change and most of the grass had turned brown and some trees lost their leaves yet some had bear fruit instead.
Anyway, here s how my walk happened.
That morning, the husband and I went to our municipal gymnasium to witness amateur as well as professional boxing game held line with the banog-banog festival. The husband gets to referee the amateur games and I was going to sell banana chips I had back then.
The sky was cloudy and I even
brought an umbrella just to be sure not to get wet when going home because I planned on going home early since I still had to tend for my kids.
The boxing ring had already been set up when we arrived and the people started to pour in. I was very happy seeing the husband see his old friends ad colleages, making happy faces I never seen him anywhere else.
Then came Melvin Jerusalem, my husband's close friend which he met back in their younger years and shared some memories with him along with their Coach Along Galolo. Jerusalem brought his WBC belt with him and was presented to the crown and of course, we did not miss the opportunity to have a picture with him.
Others took their turns as well
This young boxer just got down from the ring and I took the opportunity to take a photo with him and my husband. My husband is sort of his coach.
The tournament is full of action and everyone got very excited when the fight gets extreme.
5pm came and I could not relax thinking about our kids so I went home ahead of my husband. I was confident about going home alone because there were many vehicles that goes into the city and our place can be passed by.
Before leaving, I took a selfie with the gigantic tarpaulin hanged on the gym entrance then proceeded for a walk.
I was entertained by the beautiful centenial tree decor in the park too.
Some vendors are taking the opportunity to sell beside the park and this seller is using their vehicle as a make shift moving cart and got an idea and hopefully I will be able to do it someday too.
Proceeding further, I saw the park's most colorful and fun part; and the kids are having a great time at the kid's playing area and the parents patiently waited for them and watching from outside.
Then I passed by the pretty gumamela flowers which seems to be damaged by the too much heat of the sun. the ides of the petals seemed burnt yet its beauty still stands
While at the park, I snapped a photo of the sunset, thankful to see the beautiful end of the day
I am not really familiar of how the utility vehicles work in town so instead of going to the public market, I went to the high school and waited and signaled busses that I need a ride but they seem to ignore me and realized that they might be not allowed to pick up passengers in my location so I walked further thinking that they might feel sorry for me for being too far from the market but I was wrong.
I called my husband and confirmed that I took the wrong direction and it was too late for me to go back so I decided to proceed until the municipal hall and so I did and found these beauties along the road.
I honestly felt silly of what I had done but as I said, it was too late for me to come back so I enjoyed the sceneries around while walking ans looking if there were passing vehicles to hop into but all the busses that passed by did not came to stop until I arrived at the municipal hall.
There, two people was also waiting for the bus and soon they decided to ride a motorcycle towards the market. I could have done the same yet I did not have much money to spend on and lengthened my patience until an empty passenger vehicle came and let me hop in.
And indeed, good things do come to patient people! I was alone at the back seat until my ride home and it felt so peaceful. I was able to snap the beautiful sunset on the west and no one cares.
Here are some of them
This awesome walk was unplanned and unanticipated yet despite of accepting my fate negatively, I was able to accept it with a happy heart and saw the beauty around me. I had a wonderful alone time too!
You captured some eye catching shots. Love to see your photography.
