Communities were released just 2 week ago and they might turn further prove out to be future building block for Steem blockchain. This is just a start and by leveraging hivemind communities might serve many more purposes in future.

One of the main thing that comes with communities is control over what content can be shown. There is option of muting a single post available right now . Admin and Mods can use this option to hide any post if any post violate their community standards.

What If there is option of muting an account from community?

I would definitely like to see it happen in near future because this could serve as internal blacklist of the community and provide more spam control.

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

I thought muting users was already an option, I would definitely start from that one only commenting that crap spam xD

Yes, someone did notified me right after this post. Thanks

You are most welcome :)

So how can you mute a user within a community? Any instructions will be helpful.

Really easy haha:

  • Steempeak (you don't even need to open the post)
    imagen.png

  • Steemit (you have to open de post):

I am a MOD there so could check it out :)

No idea, but will try and let you know xD

Why about custom URLs?

I feel like this would at large erase the need to 'waste' steempower downvoting a post and instead utilizing that moment to reward another super awesome content, so yeah, a feature for muting an account just once and for all as a result of strict violation is such a boost.

Yes, it provide more efficient control

OK! Some forms of censorship such as: Muting, Downvote, White flag, Steem cleaners, sometimes seem quite cruel to me. I believe that indiscriminate use is made and they also never give a convincing explanation that justifies their procedure. I guess they may have other ways to raise awareness and debug the platform ...
