When a news item appeared announcing the pending international publication of My Feudal Lord, Mustafa called me. He was furious but controlled when he asked, "what is this nonsense
I hear about the book?"
I could not resist reminding him of our lunch conservation, when he said that I had no identify of my own and would have to introduce myself as Mustafa Khar's Ex-Wife. I said Well, Mustafa, now the world will soon know you only as Tehmina Durrani's Ex-husband."

.... I couldn't stop laughing LOL
A great sentence you cited. I never heard of this book but the worst that can happen is losing your identity. This is what many struggle with and I am one of them who always fought being:
XXX's wife
XXX's mom
and so on.... The worst is if your husband calls you mother/mom and you always have to give in to keep the peace. Same for the nonsense that the biggest gift for a mother is to be a mom (I totally hate spreading that lie and with it that women looove to sacrifice themselves for husband and children).
Thanks for sharing this book. It's on my list (that list that's getting longer and longer).

It's a book written by a wife of Pakistani politician. She write her biography . Politicians think here that they are like GOD on earth . It's a really interesting book (biography) to read. Even it was published in Europe and not available in Pakistan for many years.

I believe that's how all politicians but also VIPs think. Like they say: Behind a successful man is always a woman.. and if that woman leaves.. she rarely gets some credit. Look what happens if it's the other way around. Not many man can deal with a wife earning more, a better position or in the spotlights.
This has nothing to do with religion or the country where you live.

But I disagree with last word, some countries have rule of law. but some has only law for poor peoples, mostly are up from law.
