For the firat time I dare to make a traditional food of South-India. I never make this before. As it take a long hours to prepare I never thought of making this but finally I decided to make it and share with you all. Let's start

Cook time: 60 minutes
Serving person: 5-6
Total time: 22 hrs

Ingredients list of this recipe

Making Process


Step- I


I took rice, chick peas, black gram, fenugreek in the quantity mentioned above and soaked it in four cups of water. I have soaked these ingredients overnight and will process them further in the morning. These ingredients should be soaked for at least 8 hours but I soaked them for 12 hours. Must use fenugreek here otherwise you won't get its traditional flavor.

After 12 hours I make a paste of the soaked ingredients with the help of a blender. We used soaking water while making the paste. Of course you have to paste them very gently. They will blend easily due to being wet overnight.

Step-III


After blending it should be shaken well by hand. Then cover it with a lid for at least 7 hours. The reason for covering is fermentation. This is very important step and must be done. The better this mixture is fermented, the better our results will be. I covered it for 8 hours and the result is in front of you.

Step- IV


In this step I took some potatoes. Cleaned and boiled the potatoes. After boiling, peel the potatoes and break them. Potatoes should be boiled well.

Then I took onion, ginger, garlic, cumin. Cut them into small pieces and blended them.

Step- VI


Then I heated oil in a pan and fried mustard seeds in it and then added the paste ingredients. I fried the ingredients in oil and boiled potatoes in it. Then fry it with turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder and salt as needed

In this step , I add some coriander leaves at the end and stir to finish cooking.

Then I prepared an iron pan. I have warmed it on low heat. Then with the help of a spoon I thinly spread it with a small amount of liquid fermented mixture.

Finally when the thin bread of the pan has a brown color I fold it and keep it down. After some time I serve the crispy dosa hot with potato curry.
