Steemit Engagement Challenge - Application by Ukraine on Steem Community

Dear Sir / Madam,
Ukraine on Steem Community is willing to participate in Season 4 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

We are young community (founded less than a month ago) but we have actively growing community curation account — @ukraine-steem. So, why not to take a chance?:)

The purpose of the community

Our community has appeared from a need of Ukrainian Steemians to have their own "corner" not only for communication but also for active growth.

February, 24th, 2022, all Ukrainians on Steemit stopped to develop for a while but it's time to start doing it again. We had two Ukrainian communities since then, but there were no ways for development there, unfortunately.

We are absolutely open for every foreigner who publicly declares about the war crimes of russia and its government. We we are strictly closed to supporters of putin's bloody regime.

A brief history of the community

It's really brief — our community has been founded July, 31st, 2022 :) The same day we've created a community curation account. Looking forward to grow and involve more and more people to our community.

Community curation account

The community curation account is @ukraine-steem. We build up our community curation account in basic 2 ways:

• delegations
• writing useful post from @ukraine-steem and receiving upvotes from curators

@olesia, @dmitrik, and @antorv have all of the keys. This decision is the best for us (to have three Admins with keys) because @olesia and @antorv are residing in areas that can be potentially shelled by russian missiles. At least one person — @dmitrik — is in safe now (residing in Poland).

@andrea.boji holds only the posting key of @ukraine-steem.

Community’s policy for checking and commenting on posts

We checking every post for plagiarism. For photos we use Google Lense search. For texts we also use Google search mostly. If plagiarist is detected, we don't vote for that post and warn author not to do it again.

We check and comment on every post in our community from community curation account. Also every Admin and Mod tries to upvote and comment every post in the community from their personal accounts.

Also, we encourage the community members to interact with each other. For this, @dmitrik runs a contest called Get rewards for activity! Here are first reward for active users from @dmitrik:

How the community helps members improve the quality of posts

We give advises in a comments section how to improve posts. For example:

Why the community should be selected for the Challenge

• We are young community but with experienced Admins.
• We already run few contests, so it'll be not hard for us to run another one. Current contests:
