A few days ago I enjoyed a trip to the eastern region of Aceh, to be precise in the city of Idi Rayeuk, East Aceh district. According to this trip, it was not an ordinary trip, because I had the opportunity to visit one of the largest fish centers in the two provinces of Aceh.

The busyness of the fishermen here even until the night is still lowering the fish brought home from the sea. Some of the catches of these fishermen are sold locally, outside the region and some are even exported abroad.

On the occasion of my visit this time, a number of fishermen were busy unloading a number of Layur fish which were prepared to be packaged and frozen and exported to a number of other Asian countries.

I had a chance to meet the owner of the warehouse, his name is Mr. Charley. He is in charge of the export of various fish in this fish landing.

A number of workers seemed to be getting busy, some were in charge of sorting the fish, counting and weighing them. And some are in charge of packing and putting them in the freezer. According to one worker, this warehouse can accommodate up to 30 tons of fish once frozen, and usually the pick-up container will arrive for 3 days once loading and unloading.

Even though there are quite a lot of marine products in the territory of Indonesia, technology is still very minimal in supporting the work of fishermen here, until now fishermen have to fill their boats with jerry cans due to the unavailability of refueling ships in that place, fishermen have to buy diesel at the nearest gas station.

I am very happy to be able to travel there, especially as a new insight for me to know the fish landing area in the eastern region of the Aceh province. Well, Camping Club Hive friends, here are a number of documentations that I managed to capture in that area, I hope you enjoy it.
