Hi everyone!

This is the 18th part of my series of short writings about uncommon sea creatures. Today I would like to talk about the Sea Cucumber of the vertebrate sea species that are commonly found worldwide in both deep and shallow water of the oceans.

The sea cucumber grows up to three to twelve inches and it's depending on its species. There are various colors of sea cucumber are found such as red, blue, green, black, and brown.

These creatures have a soft cylindrical bodies, they also have sort of skeletons under the surface of their body. The skeleton spikes help them to defend themselves from predators. They can also expel their internal organ with toxic substances when they face danger.

It's a creature with no brain and its senses are poorly developed. Their nervous system is ring-like structured. The sea cucumber feed on organic matter and plankton from the seafloor.

They are friendly to nature because it cleans the dead animals and waste. The sea cucumbers are highly active at night because they are nocturnal animals.

Thanks for reading my post. Hope that you have learned something new. If you have ever seen this sea fascinating creature then comment below and let me know about it.😀
