Hi everyone!
This is the 5th part of my series of writings about uncommon sea creatures. Today I would like to talk about the "Vampire Squid" which has its own order Vampyromorphia. This unique creature has the similarities of both squid and octopuses.

The vampire squid is a small deep-sea creature that can grow a maximum of the 1-foot long body varies in color from velvety jet-black to pale reddish. It depends on location and lighting conditions.

Well, it's not a vampire that we think. It doesn't even drink blood. This creature has got this name because of its color and the arms are connected with skin.

This frightening-looking creature has evolved from the ancestors of octopuses. Moreover, this creature is the only member of its order there is no other creature like this.

If we go to the tropical and subtropical oceans at a minimum of 1500 meters then maybe we will be able to see this creature swimming around.

Thanks for reading my post. Hope that you have learned something new. If you have ever seen this sea creature then comment below and let me know about it.😀

Best regards
