Steemit Health Contest #15: My favorite doctor is an obstetrician-gynecologist

Hello steemians, hope you are doing great.

My favorite doctor is a doctor who is wearing a beautiful white coat and walks in the corridors of the hospital, moving between his patients. On his lips a smile of hope. The desire for healing is sown in the hearts of his patients.

From his ears a stethoscope hangs on the chest of a sick child, he listens to his heartbeat with interest, then he draws a pure smile on his face and say: Don't worry, you will be fine.

My favorite one is the obstetrician-gynecologist who is the specialist who supervises my mother's health during her pregnancy, childbirth, and after childbirth. This is in addition to taking care of my little sister as new born baby and providing health care and moral support to me as the brother.

Being at the center of attention is an inherent instinct in humans that they defend with full force if the need arises. Parents who are expecting a second child will often encounter this situation.

Because the first child, who was the only focus of the family and those around him, sees the newborn as a competitor and thus jealousy arises

The older child will see the new situation as taking away some of the features that were unique to him, and he will think that he will remain in the background, although this is not the case for parents, but it is normal for older brothers to feel like this.

This happens because until the moment the second child came, the first child did not imagine the presence of another person who would receive the same amount of attention that he had alone, so it is difficult for the first child to accept the matter, and it is not easy to get used to it.

How beautiful to be a doctor

That doctor gave my family some tips that enable them dealing with the matter positively, and avoiding jealousy between me and my sister as :

  • An older child who shows signs of jealousy should not be punished or reprimanded for what they do

  • More attention to the older brother, and an attempt to fulfill his desires, and make the child feel that he is still the focus of your attention and attention, and that his younger sister didn't negatively affect the amount of care and attention he was receiving before her arrival.

  • Involve the old brother in taking care of the newborn in line with his abilities, but if he doesn't want that responsibility entrusted to him, he should not be forced to do so.

  • Do not force your older child to share his toys, books, or anything that belongs to him with his younger sister without his OK. Otherwise you will destroy his sense of his privacy and the protection of his private property

That doctor was defending me and my position as the old brother
