Assalamu Alaikum friends. How are you all? Hope you are all well. I'm fine too. Today I'm going to participate in an awesome contest from the STEEMIT HEALTH community. The contest is organized by @nadiaturina sister. The main point of the contest is to name the doctor you like. Today I will present to you the words of my beloved doctor.

Do you have a favorite doctor?

My favorite doctor is Dr. Saqlain Russell, MBBS (DMC), MS (CVTs), renowned vascular, endovascular and laser surgeon of Bangladesh. Dr Saqlain Russell is a Vascular Surgeon in Dhaka, Bangladesh.He is trained in Endovascular and Laser Surgery (India), Trained in Fistula for Hemodialysis (Singapore).He regularly treats patients at Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute.

Dr. Saclain Russell at a Glance.

• Saklayen Russel, a child of Rupsi village in Mithapukur, Rangpur, passed SSC from AK High School in the capital and HSC from Dhaka Residential Model College.

• Later he was admitted in Dhaka Medical College. Ranked 67th in the merit list across the country in the entrance examination.

• He later obtained his MS degree in Cardiac Vascular and Thoracic Surgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).

• After his studies, he started working in the department of cardiac and vascular and thoracic surgery of the same university. Saclain Russell. Voluntarily retired from there after serving for 11 years.

• In 2017, the Department of Vascular Surgery was started at Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital and Research Institute under his leadership. There he is working as an associate professor and department head.

Why did you choose him or her as your favorite doctor?

Doctors who play a role in keeping people healthy are the ones who are most sick. They do not have time for themselves. They don't do exercise. Their fitness is very weak. If you are sick, take medicine three times a day, you can't do it even when you are attending to patients. Doctors actually fall into a cycle of serving patients. It is a cycle of keeping the common people well. He has taught Bangladeshi patients to live anew with his talent and hard work.

His contribution when the corona virus appeared in Bangladesh is undeniable. He gave us various information on how to protect ourselves from corona virus and what to do in case of corona virus either personally or through social media. Because of which common people like me benefited a lot from watching his awareness videos.

For this reason, the Bangladesh government has awarded Dr. Saqlen Russell, assistant professor and head of the vascular surgery department of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in the capital. He was presented with the award in the health category at a function held at Hotel Radisson Blu. Along with being a responsible doctor, he has tried his best to stand by people. And mainly because of these reasons I have chosen him as my favorite doctor. He is pride of Bangladesh. His achievements and contribution will be remembered by people of Bangladesh for ages.

What are the characteristics of your favorite doctor?

In addition to being a doctor, he has engaged himself in various humanitarian services. As he is working relentlessly in the service of poor people of Bangladesh. He has 3 institutions in human service. They are: Friends Group, Ariz Aid, Ariz School, Ariz Foundation. Through this institution, he serves the people of Bangladesh. Angels worked with special children through the Leave Here group.

Organizationally, he has proven his skills by working with various organizations. The improvements he is making in the medical sector of Bangladesh by being associated with those organizations are-

• Joint-Secretary, Bangladesh Vascular Society.
• Life member, Asia Pacific Vascular Society.
• Board member, Asian Society of Cardiology.

When do you feel you have to go to your favorite doctor?

Everyone wants to lead healthy life. I'm not an exception But to maintain my health, I have to consult a doctor at least once in a while. Because I think checkup should be done at least 1 time in a year by doctor. In that case I would say that since my favorite doctor is a cardiologist. So I think I'd go to my favorite doctor when I feel like I'm having heart problems. Because I believe he will give me good advice and direction.
