After a few fat-fingering sessions, I had finally remembered the new password I had set and regained access to my SFR development server. It's a relief that I didn't have to attempt a password crack disk or re-image my RAID array. To be honest, I am not even sure my imaging software is capable of restoring to a logical disk so it's good that I figured it out.
There would have been a good chance I may have had to move to an open source server release otherwise but I prefer having access to a good hypervisor (HyperV) so I have a bit more flexibility with operating systems. At this point, I am working on patching the ol' dinosaur of mine and then create a web app using the following tutorial on GitHub
As I stated before, I'm a bit out of my element with web development being a sustainment engineer but I do have a knack for figuring things out. I've created plenty of barebones apps using docker images and other prefab implementations but I usually never go much further than that. During the latter half of 2019, I had looked into a data visualization tool called Zeppelin, built the app, but then realized after much review of the documentation that it really wasn't a good fit for what we are trying to accomplish.
On that note, it's important to consider the design of this app and more or less conceptualize how it will look. What I would like to create would be a user interface where people can review all blockchain flags and @steemflagrewards mentions. What would be really cool if I can figure out is to have the comments render as part of a 3D map with parent comments up and near and child comments below and further away. Something like this but with more depth.
An example of the type of innovation I would like to see is the app automatically enumerate all comments in a thread and have the ability to select all the comments via a sort of rectangle tool and then downvote / SFR mention them all in batch. That would be pretty snazzy but I'm getting ahead of myself. A basic app is what we need right now.
Before I go all mad scientist on a web application, the first step is I need to migrate the production SFR database to the development server. I've done this before but it required a bit of editing the sqlite dump file so that the format would be accepted. The database could also use some cleanup of columns that have since been deprecated such as those for the dust and follow on flags. Furthermore, I think it would not be a bad idea to have separate tables for all SFR mentions and mod approvals for full transparency to the Steem community of the work being done.
Admittedly, our activity has waned as of recently which I attribute to the holiday season but, with the start of the new year, think it is good to continue pushing for the vision of #newsteem perhaps while others catch a breather. I'm already thinking of ways we can better help such as a SFR user invoked blacklist / autodownvoter. The privilege to be able to use this functionality shall be given to users that "stake" a certain number of SFR tokens. Yes, I'm already considering a staking mechanism but it's going to be custom rather than using SteemEngine native capability.
Anyways, I continue to appreciate everyone that has stuck with us and gotta give a special shoutout to @memehub for increasing their delegation renewing the hope of our team to continue the mission. We took a big hit when one of our major supporters for whatever reason decided to power down. Now, we are back with a vengeance you can say.
Funny thing about your delegations. They motivate the hell out of me.
In addition the broaden the scope of the token manipulation, spam, plagiarism and scams that we are able to support the community to address. I see the mentions everyday and see that our community is very much on the case and serious about addressing reward pool allocation issues. Truth be told. I probably would have high tailed it out of here had it not been for yall steadily restoring my faith in humanity.
Damn, guess that got a little deep.
Anyways, off to patching the server and seeing what else I can get done today. Wish me luck!

Great to see that @memehub support. SFR needs a bit of a boost to make it effective. Thanks again for all your efforts to keep this running. I got more tokens this week that I will use to help others.
