Once in Nepal there was a king who had a son. The king used to love his son a lot, in fact he decided that his son would never witness the outer world and surrounded the palace with gigantic walls so his son can't see anything outside.
The king did everything he could to keep his son happy and away from the sorrow, pain, disease. He provided every possible facility to him, all he wanted to keep his son out of all worldly pain. The Prince was even married to a very beautiful girl in his young age. The Prince was unaware of pain, poverty, disease and he was far from any problem.
In spite of all his pleasures slowly prince started feeling unsatisfied and wanted to explore the world. What's out there ? How people live? what world looks like?
One day when the young prince went out to the market on his chariot he saw an old man, who is this guy and what happened to him? Prince asked to his bodyguard.
He is getting old my lord, Guard replied.
Why he's getting old, Prince asked again.
Because he's getting aged, Guard responded.
Will it happen to me too? will I be old? can a prince get old? Prince asked again.
Yes, My Lord, everyone gets old, Guard answered.
Then they moved forward and prince saw a person who's ill.
What happened to him? Prince asked.
He is ill, My Lord. Guard replied.
Why he is ill? Prince asked shockingly.
Everybody gets ill, this is human body, we all get ill someday, Guard answered.
But can a prince like me get ill? Prince questioned again.
God forbids My lord, but yes we all get ill someday no matter what we are. Guard responded.
The young prince was shocked with his answer but they moved ahead.
After crossing street, prince saw people crying over someone's demise.
What happened to them? Why are they crying? Prince asked.
Someone died, My Lord.
The young prince couldn't understand what he meant and asked him.
When our soul leaves the body then we die and after old age we all will die someday, Guard gave the clarity.
But a young prince can not die, can I ? Prince responded.
No one is immortal, My Lord. We all will leave this world when the time comes, Guard explains.
Prince was shattered as all this years he never saw something like this, he never knew all this worldly pleasure has no use. One day we all have to leave this world.
As The Young Prince reached his palace he started thinking about all this and he felt as if he is wasting his life because one day all this will burn into ashes and decides to leave in a sneaky way.
One night, The Prince breaks out the palace.
