Goal Setting.

Good day, my wonderful Steemians and I’m amazed to be here with you all again. I’m very happy that @steem4nigeria brought up this topic about “goal setting”. This is a topic that as adults, we all should have one or two ideas about.

What is goal setting?

Goal setting is the process of working towards achieving a goal. Talking about goal setting, it has to deal with how to achieve the plan and the steps that will be taken to achieve the plan. When we decide to go online, I know we’d see so many ways and steps to achieve our goals but there is no one way to achieve our goals. As long as you have set your goals and how to achieve it, you can continue to work towards the process.

Also, one thing I have learned about goal setting is that it does not necessarily have to be the way some icons or legends did it. You can set your goals, follow the processes and get what you want.

We have short-term and long-term goals. How can you different them?

This is very true. The fact that we call something a goal does not mean it should last forever. This is where the short and long term goals comes in.

Short term goals

These are goals that we set for a short period of time. This kind of goal may include how many articles you want to write before the year ends, how many parties you want to attend and people to meet. It can be anything as long as you have made a plan for it and you are trying some ways to help yourself achieve such goal.

Long term goals

This can even be a for life thing and that’s why long term goal requires you to plan very well before going for it. Long term goals does not also have to be a for life deal but may include goals like your career path, a business idea which you would love for it to flourish and so much more.

This also does not mean that short term goals are not reasonable. A goal is a goal and if you ever set the right goal, it’s important to go for it and work towards achieving it.

Which of the goals is the most important to you?

To be very honest, my long term goals are very much important to me. I feel long term goals have to do with something serious and dear to your life just like your financial goals and how rich you’d love to be in life. It can also deal with your career path and how far you’d love to go in it.
Just like for every great person today, a lot of them have their goals and that’s why they have been able to attain a particular height today. So, I feel the long term goal is more important.

Tell us your short and long-term goals in 2025 and how you intend to achieve them?

Short term goals

• Write five articles daily. I’m sorry but I know that I may be lagging and that’s why I’ve set this short term goal for myself to write five articles daily. I have other platforms I write on so I always want to make sure to write five articles daily.

• Make more connections with people on Steemit. I have recently added Steemit to my short term plans. That’s because I realize how much I’m lagging in this great society so now, I want to make sure that I visit here everyday and also write an article.

Long term goals

• I’d love to build a house. Since yesterday, I’ve been checking some websites to know how much money land is sold for and how I can begin to build something little on it. It’s a goal and I know it is achievable.

• Pursuing my music career. This is really going to be like a fling but once I get into it, I don’t ever want to get out of it anymore. I’d love to do music everyday for the rest of my life. That’s a long term goal I’m pursuing and I hope to get it.
