Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 66: Overcoming Our Challenges?

in hive-147599 •  3 months ago

Hello to the great people of Steemit and my friends from Nigeria. I welcome you all to this contest titled Overcoming our challenges organized by @Steem4Nigeria. There are a few questions I’m supposed to answer and I will answer them diligently.

What is or has been your biggest challenge on Steemit?

One of my biggest challenges on here is engaging with a lot of people on a day. Firstly, I have to be grateful to the organizers of Steemit because they at least help us with as much as 10SP to begin our journey on here and when we earn more, it will be refunded.

Now, the 10SP we newbies are given isn’t enough to make me post so many times and make so many comments. Right now, that’s one basic challenge I’m facing. That’s why there are times when I don’t post on a single day.
Luckily for me, I am gradually receiving little upvotes from people which is a way to build my SP so I can make more posts and right now, I can make more posts than before even though the difference isn’t really much.

How do you think Steemit improve for it's users?

Even before me joining Steemit, it has always been fun on here and it will continue to be but what if a few things are added to the platform to make it better? If we are given the space to suggest, I suggest that there should be a place or section where we can send direct messages to people.
A lot of people want to reach bigger people here to ask some questions but when they don’t know how to reach them especially when their Discord handle is not on their bio, then those people remain stuck.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you motivated on Steemit?

Wealth! I’m motivated by the earnings people have here. I’m sorry to say. I checked some accounts and saw how many SPs some people staked in their wallets, I was baffled. A lot of people have never bought Steem with their money but they were able to grow their account with the power ups that they do which took them to where they all are today and I want to be like that too.
Imagine that this time next year, I already have over 2000SP and I know that there will be more to come in the coming years.

How can or does the community help with challenges?

I haven’t spent up to a month here but with the little things I have noticed, I can boast that the community is trying its best to help people especially those like me who are still new. That’s why we have the Steemcurator account which aims at upvoting posts of writers.

How can we come together to solve problems?

One of the problems we are facing the is low Steem price and when we are talking of ways to solve it, it is by burning some of our Steem earnings. I could have begun to do that but I need more Steem so that I can make more posts and engage with other people and when I make enough, I will begin to burn some Steem.

That’s not all. We can as well introduce so many people to Steemit. The sky is big enough for everyone to fly so let’s bring in more people. Let’s earn and build wealth together.

I know I have a good point but I would love to hear from my friends too. That’s why I’d be inviting my friends @josepha @dove11 and @simonnwigwe to let me know what they feel about this topic too.
