AKPATA is the head quarter of Akun Development Area in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area , of Nasarawa State. Nigeria.
The quest to organize a formidable youth movement was born out of the prevailing high rate of insecurity in Nigeria , moral lasity among youth and assist security agents by providing useful information that we help them combat crime in the community and to speak with one voice .
The election is to be contested by 18 aspirants in the following positions Chairman Vice chairman Secretary Finicial secretary Treasurer P.R.O 1 and 2 Auditor 1 and 2 Sport director Social director.
The venue of the election , Roman Catholic Mission Pilot Primary School (RCM).Aloce was thrown opened for voting by 8:00Am as eligible voters was seen trooping in to the venue. Accreditation and voting commence simultaneously. Voters are seen checking their names on the voters register displaced on the wall, before proceeding to join the queue for accreditation and collection of ballot paper .to vote. Voting end by 12:30,Pm
The venue suddenly became a business hub for neighbors who took advantage of the crowd to sell snacks and mineral,
Sorting , counting of ballot papers and collation of result started immediately with the position of social director under the supervision of security agents, agents , the chairman Akun youth movement and the secretary wakama youth movement. The position of treasurer, p.r.o. 1and2, auditor 1 and 2, , sport director and social director were all return unopposed.
After collation, the electoral chairman address the contestants and their members urging them to accept the result of the election as every body can not be a winner at the same time.
The result sheet was signed by agents on behalf of the contestants before final announcement. A total of 549 people were register and only 382 accredited. The election was free, fair and transparent.
