Contest; Bringing Us Together

Like they always say, sometimes life throw to us what we expect least and we just need to accept it as it comes. Today I will be participating in the Steem4Nigeria Community contest and be sharing my view how far this year have gone.

Well, for many people when it comes to the definition of togetherness, it actually means a whole lot of things. For me personally, whenever we talk about togetherness, I see it as a point of unity and teamwork whereby a whole lot of people are actually connected together. It is mostly about the relationship that exists between people which have a strong bond and unity across the journey of life.

I also see togetherness as a sign of strength and persistency. It means people are closer to themselves even during the challenging period and thereby creating a support system for each one of them most especially when things seem not to be going quite well.

Actually when it comes to creating a stronger sense of community in our lives, there are certain practical ways which over the time I have seen it works and produce result. Some of them below;

• Encourage Open Communication: In everything we do, we should always understand that whenever we are able to actually create an open comment space, which can either be online or offline, this makes it easy for people to be able to actually express their mind and be able to communicate their thoughts and even their ideas all together.

• Engage in Shared Activities: I believe there are still ways we can organise activities together that can help to foster unity together even with opportunities that can help people to actually interact together and this can also help to foster collaboration.

• Celebrate Diversity: One of the things that helps to strengthen bonds is something called diversity. We should be very careful of the diversity that affect. There are some Strategic events that I believe can help to play out cultural nights.

There are a whole lot of activities that I strongly believe can be done which can help to bring people close together. Some of them below;

• Group Games and Sports: The first I will make mention of are team sports. There are some sports that can help to foster unity together. Sports like soccer, basketball and many more. This also helps to foster bonding together.

• Shared Meals: The second activities that I should make sure that I pay attention to is shared meals. Cooking and dining together can really go a long way to actually strengthen bond together most especially.

• Outdoor Adventures: The last one is the adventure. There are some outdoor adventures like group hikes, camping trips. All these things can help to actually strengthen bonds together.

Of course there are a whole lot of challenges that I strongly believe that we can face when trying to build togetherness together in this contemporary age actually. These are below;

• Hectic Lifestyles: The first I will list is the hectic lifestyle because most of the time it affects the bond because most of the time it can demand jobs and even affect connections together actually.

• Cultural and Political Polarization: Sometimes political views and even religions are actually reasons that can cause divisions and can even threaten unity.

• Economic Inequality: Most of the time, the issue is economic inequality and the fact that there is a difference between wealth and not having access to resources can fight against unity most of the time.

There are diverse ways I strongly believe that we can support ourselves during tough times. The first is that we should be patient. Patient is really key because it helps to make sure that we will keep going even when there is a tough time. It will not be easy every time but one needs to keep it going and keeps pushing.

Another one is during tough time, you need to be present. We need to be there for the person because they need us. The second thing we always need to do is to always make sure that we offer help. I am actually talking about practical help to people when they are in need.
