Greetings and welcome to my blog. I usually make this statement “Imagine the world without water”, am sure you know that it would have been one hell of a world because water is life. The importance of water cannnot be over emphasized.
When it comes to water, drinking or bathing, whether am going to do cold, warm or hot would have to depend on the environment, weather or health condition just as the host of the contest reiterated.
My choice
Let’s start with drinking water, I prefare to do room temperature water in a regular day. This is because of all the yapping about too much cold water and how it’s not good for our health.
There are some days when the weather is extremely hot or am very tired and thirsty from a long work or walk, I’d settle for cold water but it must not be too cold. Moderate cold water to sooth the thirsty soul on a hot afternoon once in a while is not bad. I don’t always drink cold water except when necessary like I explained above.
As for my bathing, I always do warm water 98% percent of the time. Over the years I noticed that whenever I bath cold water, I always come out of the bathroom sneezing and sneezing and this usually lasts for sometime before it goes away.
Reasons for my choice
When I bath warm water, I don’t experience this phenomenon. I concluded that maybe because am on the slim side and hence I get cold easily that’s why. So to avoid these reoccurrence, I stuck with warm water.
Secondly, am actually afraid of bathing cold water. I don’t know if am the only one but when ever I had to bath cold water, I would be heard shouting in the bathroom cos I have to shout ahhhh, to take in the effect of the cold water on my body. It’s just too cold. Hahahaha. So to avoid my bathroom shouting drama, I just stick with warm water.
So you see, when I bath warm water, there’s no shouting episodes or repeated sneezing episodes. When I also got to find out that warm water actually has some benefits which am going to share with us, I decided to stick to it.
When I drink very cold water, I experience almost the same scenario of repeated sneezing too and sometimes cold feelings hence I do room temperature like I said and not too cold water once in a long while. I take warm water when I am taking beverages or tea.
Benefits of bathing warm water
Bathing or drinking warm water is very beneficial. Some of the benefits includes:
Bathing warm water helps to sooth our senses and releases a surge of freshness which helps to calm our body and mind. We get this euphoric effect because the warm water causes our body to release endorphins.
Did you know that warm water makes your heart beat faster and when you soak in warm water for about sixty minutes that you can burn as high as 140 calories which is equivalent to taking a walk for about thirty minutes?
Taking warm baths often can help reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack because it reduces blood pressure, improves our blood circulation and also helps our blood vessels to work better.
Warm water bath in combination with some oils like lavender, coconut or olive oil is good for our skin because of the aromatherapy which we experience that reduces stress and regulates our mood.
Warm bath can helps to fend off the symptoms that comes with sickness like flu hence boosting our immunity.
Warm bath can help you muscles relax thereby relieving you of the aches, discomfort and pains in your muscles especially after an exercise.
The last but not the least, if you want to have a good sleep, warm bath is ideal because it helps you relax and when your body temperature drops, you can have a better sleep.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
Thanks for sharing your choice of water with us. When I was a child, my parents would ask me whether I'm an old man that baths warm water because it has been one of my consistent practice then. Now, I'm used to cold water though don't usually feel cold. Thanks for sharing
