Edited on Canva picture of the incident that happened today

Recently, if you check out the headline of newspapers around your Neighborhood you'll notice that bad news and natural disasters are splashed on the front cover of the paper, why? Because we're getting use to hearing bad news than goodnews and it seems bad news is hot selling than goodnews. What's happening in your neighbourhood? Is it good or bad incident?

Events Happening In My Neighbourhood

I closed from work around 3:30pm, on my way back home a truck of cement and that of sand clashed and remain still without movement, i was like "What's happening again today"? Since i was in a haste to catch up with meeting i couldn't wait to get the full details. In the middle of the meeting i was attending, i was sent to buy some kind of plugins for microphone, what a golden opportunity to capture the incident and get the full details about what happened.

On getting there i discovered that it was an accident between Dangote cement truck and sand truck. My first question was "Has anyone died"?. After asking people who witnessed the starting of this incident they told me that no one died, it's only the vulcaniser who stays by that roadside was injured and was rushed to the hospital.

According to the witnesses, the sand truck was the one at fault but the driver refuses to accept his fault and apologize, guess what he did? He started disbursing cement to the bush, is this a sign of anger or stupidness? I asked myself.

With all these drama the sand truck driver was displaying got the chief driver of cement truck upset and called the police with immediate effect. I was there when he made the call and within few minutes the police arrived, bundled the driver at fault and move him to the station.

What's there to say I'm sorry that it wasn't intentional, now he'll have to pay a huge amount of money to be a free man. I'm very sure the chief driver wouldn't have taken it that far but because of his stupidness pushed the man to take such actions. Take a look at what he did to the cement truck wheel which is very costly now in the market.

Sometimes we run away from problems but it keeps chasing us without rest, sometimes too we ourselves set the rain to befall us. Take a look at what happened this evening, if at all he said he's sorry about what happened, atleast man to man is understandable the problem could be solved easily without involving the police. Well it has happened, I'm sure he'll learn his lessons when he's finally out from the police cell.

This is Nigeria for you. We don't accept faults. Anyways, it's everywhere not just in Nigeria. I can remember when two bike men stood on the road for over 4 hours because none of them refused to go back for the other one to pass. Both of them wanted justice. The first driver wanted the second to go back for him to pas. The second driver wanted the first to go back so that he'll pass. They stood there on their bikes to see who'll give up. I was on my end cheering both drivers and seeing who'll give up. The first driver out of humility, just accept and allowed the second passed but he did so after 4 hours of standing there. Hmmmmm. Your narration is great. Wishing you best of luck in this challenge

Appreciated

It seems like there was quite a dramatic incident in your neighborhood involving a collision between a Dangote cement truck and a sand truck. It's fortunate that no one lost their life in the accident, although it's unfortunate that the vulcanizer was injured. The behavior of the sand truck driver, dispersing cement to the bush instead of owning up to his mistake, was indeed perplexing. It's understandable that the chief driver of the cement truck felt compelled to involve the police given the circumstances.

Thank you for sharing this event with us and for highlighting the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions. It's essential for all drivers to exercise caution and accountability while on the road to prevent such incidents from occurring.
