Hello friends. Hope you all are doing okay. I'm participating in this interesting contest about hospitality. Please read on!
What do you understand by the word hospitality?
Hospitality is the act of showing kindness to people. It is a feeling of empathy for someone and a desire to assist a person, to change one's situation and offer needed help.
In a world where sometimes the "helper" becomes a "victim," should we still show hospitality? What's your take? Explain.
We are indeed living in an uncertain world and a helper today might become needy tomorrow. Some people decide not to be hospitable to others because of some negative impressions they encountered in the past with people they helped, others have gotten into serious trouble, all because they decided to help.
I know a story of a couple driving in a lonely bush path in broad daylight and suddenly they came across a beggar, lowly and tattered. Observing him closely, they decided to help him and later it turned out that they had fallen into a trap and the “lowly beggar” had set an ambush for them. Gunmen came out of the bush and attacked the innocent couple.
That was quite a quick turn of events and stories like this can make it especially difficult for one to show hospitality.
It can be really surprising when situations change and a wealthy or prominent individual becomes a victim of a situation such as fraud, accident, health issues or otherwise and is now a victim. We may wonder what might have led to such sudden downfall. Some might think it is as a result of what the individual did when he was wealthy or it's some sort of comeback against him. Nevertheless, it is advisable to render assistance to such ones if it is within our power to help and to do so with extreme caution.
Have you ever received unforgettable hospitality from someone? How was it? And why is it unforgettable?
Yes I have received hospitality from a friend who bought a digital skills course online a while ago, she practiced the course over time and got a good job. She later decided to give me all the courses for free and urged me to watch the videos, download the softwares and applications, practice enough and start applying for jobs. This was a course she paid a huge amount to get and struggled to apply for it, but she decided to give it free of charge to me. That was indeed a hospitable act.
Do you consider yourself a hospitable person ? State instances.
I consider myself a hospitable person. Back then in school, I had a friend who didn't have much financially. It was a real trouble getting textbooks and materials to read and study. It was also a struggle buying some snacks to sustain herself till the lectures were over for the day.
To attend classes sometimes, we had to pay our way down to the lecture venue and back and she couldn't afford that. So I had to offer to assist her financially, we would share meals together, I would also buy course materials and photocopy them for her as well as other emotional support, that helped her until we successfully graduated with really good grades!
When showing hospitality to people, how should it be done? Tell us.
When showing hospitality, we need to cultivate a good mindset. The aim of showing hospitality shouldn't be to show off, to let people know how wealthy we are compared to them or to post on social media to impress our followers or any who comes across our page.
Turning on the camera and recording isn't a really good way to be hospitable. We do not need to embarrass the person we are assisting, making it seem as though we are the only ones that can assist and he has no other choice but to accept it.
If we must give, we need to have a healthy view of hospitality, we should give out of kindness and love.
Thanks for reading friends ♥️

Sorry I would have commented much about your post but I'm just in a hurry because my phone is about to go off but just in case I might not be able to reach you again. What course can someone protest and study that can be beneficially in real life.

Well, there are many courses, from crypto, cyber security, web developing, cloud computing, web3, digital marketing or virtual assistance.
There are so many, you can research and see if you like any.
Just go on Twitter or Facebook, there are people who teach those skills, but you'll have to pay a fee and if you have a laptop, it'll be easier
