Greetings to you all friends. I'm excited to participate in this contest with a topic I feel everyone or mist people resonate with at some point in their lives. If it doesn't happen to you as an individual it's definitely happening to someone you know and is obvious in the world at large.

I would start by saying no one loves to experience poverty. We all would love to be able to afford valuable things, needs and even wants. We love to dress stylishly, eat good food and move around in nice, quality and dignified vehicles, we all love comfort. But sometimes, life happens and we fall short of our own expectations. We do not experience the type of life we once desired.

Poverty and not having money are the same thing? Explain

Poverty and not having money are two different things.
Poverty is a lack of financial resources and also not having access to the basic needs of life. The individual cannot afford to buy food, pay rent or even buy clothes.

While a person who doesn't have money can afford the basic needs of life. He or she may also need to cut down on his budget and expenses, maybe buy a lesser quality phone, lesser clothes and shoes or may even seek temporary financial assistance. This person may not be able to afford a car or live in a huge apartment but can afford the money to pay his or her house rent in a simple area or buy medicine comfortably when the need arises. So poverty is more complex than not having money.

Do you think poverty is Man-made or situations in life make it happen? Mention 2 main causes of poverty in your country.

For the most part, situations in life make poverty happen.
But to answer this question, I think poverty can either be man made or situations in life can as well make it happen.
Two causes of poverty in Nigeria is mismanagement of resources by those in positions of authority as well as greediness and unwillingness to implement policies that can help citizens. Example: unwillingness to initiate the payment of 77k to corpers by the Nigerian Government 🤦

Give a life experience to justify that poverty is either man-made or situations in life cause it.

An example is an experience I heard last year. A wealthy young man had a warehouse and employed a lot of workers. One night the entire warehouse was cleared by thieves leaving the owner severely bankrupt. Also, a lady was scammed online of all her life-saving, leaving her in a situation that will take a longer while to recover.

On the other hand, a person may also cause poverty for himself by making unwise decisions. This may include gambling with a huge capital needed to start a business, lavishing money on expensive clothes and gadgets or living in an expensive area that doesn't suit one's income.

Someone refuses to scam people to make a fortune and elevate himself from poverty. Will you say the person is the reason he's still poor or will you say he's content with the poverty? Justify your answer

If someone refuses to scam others for profit, it would be unwise to say the person is content with poverty. It simply means the individual is brave enough to exercise self-control and he wants to live a clean life, away from dishonest gains. He also knows the consequences and is determined to avoid it. And the quality of self-control is really sorted out by employees and can land him a good job in due course!

I think sometimes people choose to live with integrity, even if it means staying in a more difficult financial situation. This does not mean that they are happy with poverty, but rather that they prefer to maintain their honesty and dignity.
