**Steem4nigeria Accelerator contest week 47: The information that changed my life

How are you guys doing today? I hope all is well with you guys? I welcome you all to this contest which is about the very information that changed the narratives of my life. Stay tuned..

WHAT DO YOU UNDERSTAND BY THE WORD INFORMATION?

Information can be seen according to my understanding as a fact that is presented or made available for a particular purpose or achievement.

Information can also be seen as a fact, thought or data conveyed or described through various types of communication like written, oral, visual and audio.

Further more, information can also be seen as any entity or form that resolves the answer to a question of some kind. It is related to data and knowledge, as data represents values attributed or parameters, and knowledge signifies understanding of real things or abstract
concepts.

DO YOU AGREE WITH THE STATEMENT "INFORMATION IS POWER" ?

Yes I totally agree with the "statement information is power" because information is the basis of distinction, it is clearly clear that if you are not informed you are truly deformed because the elevation that information brings to an informed personality is not around you.

According to my own personal philosophy of life which I am known for, I always use to say this repeatedly that "information is more powerful than power" I came into conclusion with this statement because of the practical personal experiences I had pertaining the reality of the powerful nature and character of information.

So, the idea behind the statement is that of knowledge and information are valuable resources that can give individuals or groups competitive advantage over others.

SHEAR WITH US THE INFORMATION THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE.

Right from my secondary school days, It has been my desire to further my education into the university, the curiosity of being a graduate drives my passion for my studies during my secondary school days, most expecially when corp members are been deployed to my school I admire them so much and being optimistic that I shall be like them some day.

So, deu to the passion I had I put in for jamb immediately after my graduation from the secondary school, the first jamb I wrote I scored 218 marks and I scored 75 in my post UTME , but I was denied admission that year by the university.

I still put in for jamb the following year which I scored 225 in jamb and I scored 80 in my post UTME I was still denied admission by thesame university, that second time it pained me so much
because some of my mates that had connection gained admission and they all went to school remaining only me at home.

The next year again I put in for jamb again and I was posted to kogi state college of education to take the jamb immediately I arrived the school on that jamb day, an old class mate of mine that left our school before the final year ran from far and hugged me, I was so surprised by seeing her and she was also there to take the jamb as well.

I was so happy to see her again and she was also happy, so she said she thought I was in the university already and I said no, so I explained to her how I have been writing the jamb with better scores but the university has denied me admission all this while because I had no connection.

Immediately I said that she shouted that why are people wicked like that? and she said her uncle is a professor in the same department that I applied that she will give my credentials to her uncle after the jamb because she has worked many admissions for people through her uncle before.

So I became so happy and began to thank her but she said I should not that her that we are one, that if I knew about her connection before now I would have been in the university since.

To God be the glory I made the jamb that very year and she worked the admission for me and I finally succeeded into the university.

And today I really achieved my dream of becoming a graduate.

Information is power indeed, because if not for the information she gave me, I wouldn't have gained admission into the university to be a graduate an I am today.
