Explanation

Today, I will share with you how I drew a crab. Without further delay, let’s take a look at how I completed the drawing.

Step 1:

Start to draw1000034808.jpg

To start drawing the crab, I first draw the middle section of its body. Then, I proceed to draw the legs on the right side.

Step 2:

Now, I draw the legs on the left side of the crab. These legs have segmented joints and sharp claws at the ends.

Step 3:

1000034813.jpg1000034814.jpg

Next, I draw two eyes on the upper part of the crab and make the upper edges sharp in appearance. To enhance the drawing, I use a gel pen. With the pen, I first trace over the middle section of the body, then move on to the right side, and finally trace the left-side legs.

Step 4:

1000034816.jpg1000034817.jpg

I add small marks between the legs of the crab. I also draw light patterns along the middle of the body and tiny details on the sides to make the drawing more intricate. The drawing is now complete. For coloring, I start by painting the claws at the tips of the two front legs black.

Step 7:

1000034818.jpg1000034819.jpg
1000034821.jpg1000034836.jpg

I then color the first pair of front legs. For this, I use a combination of red and orange colors.Next, I systematically color the legs on the right side, followed by those on the left side. Once the legs are fully colored, I color the middle of the body and the eyes black.

Step 10:

Finally, I capture a selfie with the drawing. Let me know in the comments how you like my crab drawing. Thank you, everyone!

What type of animal is it?

Crab is an aquatic animal which mostly lives in the sea or fresh water. Body is divided into two main parts. It is a type of shellfish. The eyes, mouth and other organs included are in the head while the abdomen has other important organs. Crabs have five pairs of legs, the two large ones used for catching food. They’ve got strong and big legs to help them move quickly. However, the hard shell on crabs protect them from life threatening creatures. They are fast moving and hide away in their shells, if they see a predator coming.

Have you ever seen one?

Crabs at Narayanganj Fish Market

Of course I have seen crabs in Narayanganj fish market. They sell many types of fish and crabs too there. In most places you could find the live crabs at market. I sometimes find their shells interesting as far as shape and color go. I've never eaten crab but seeing them make me satisfied.

Of what use is it to humans?

Crab is a tasty and healthy food for humans. It has rich body protein and nutrients. Crabs are fairly prevalent in Bangladesh and especially in the coastal areas. Various tasty dishes use them such as crab curry, crab soup, crab cakes. In many places these dishes are liked and if eating crab is good for health. Some crafts use the shells of crabs too.

Have you eaten one before?

No, I have never eaten crab. It makes me feel a little uncomfortable eating it. Shaped and smelt not very appealing to me. I’m sure that is a lot of people in Bangladesh who relish in the taste of crab, especially in coastal areas. I have never had the courage of trying it myself.
