Introduction

Hello steemians it is another wonderful day to interact and share in the event that occurred yesterday 18th August 2024. It was a wonderful day and a blessed one. I am sending lots of thanks for always reading my posts. It gladdens my heart.

Morning

I woke up so early on Sunday at around 4: 50am, the reason being that my place is far from the church, I did my morning devotion and after that I started getting ready for church. I had my bath, dressed and at about 6.00am I was ready to be at church. By 6: 40am, I was already in church before 7:00am, which is the stipulated time for workers in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

It was a youth Sunday service and every activity to be done in the church was perform by the youth in the church except the word ministration, which was rendered by a youth pastor from another parish.

The church activities went smoothly, from Fresh fire, to Sunday school and to the main service. The order of service was enriched with varieties like special number, song duet, drama, dance and choir ministration.

The church atmosphere was beautiful as youth were dressed in the jersey of their favorite club. I was dressed in a Chelsea jersey. I also took part in the dance presentation but time did not
permit me to take a selfie, but I have a short video clip which was recorded by another person.

The word ministration theme was "Making heaven", which was in line with the RCCG annual convention theme: HEAVEN. The name of the pastor that preached was Pastor Nkereuwem Emmanuel. His preaching was great, as he encouraged everyone to look towards making it to Heaven.

Still, on this occasion, the names of the newly ordained pastor and deaconess were called for recognition.

The youth Sunday ended with thanksgiving as the youth and the entire congregation danced and sang unto God for a glorious quarter year in the Redeemed calendar year.

The church ended at about 11: 30am.

Afternoon

After the church was dismissed, the youth executives had to stay back for a meeting (provincial youth meeting). I stayed in the church until around 1: 00pm, yet no other executives from other parishes showed up.

So I put a call across to the provincial president, then he told me the meeting would not be held.

After I received the call, I decided to pay a surprise visit to my nieces. I bought ice cream and meat pie for each of them.

They were so happy and were dancing around me, telling me how much they missed me. It was a great moment for me and my girls, and we took memorable pictures together.

My Sunday was awesome, and my beautiful nieces also made my day.
