Steemians, welcome to this week's Accelerator contest. The contest would enable us to appreciate the various investment windows on the steemit ecosystem in which we could maximize the various opportunities to make returns, gains, profit or rewards from our various chosen investment windows.
Before I proceed, I would like to look into what investment could mean.
Investment could mean an asset or wealth gotten to produce more wealth. The wealth produced in the course of the investment could come in form of capital gains or appreciation, or profit.
Here on the steemit ecosystem, there are investment opportunities through which steemians could use to make money just as highlighted as the introductory part of the contest by the host. At this point, I'm going to highlight some ways or methods through which I utilize the various investment windows provided on the steemit ecosystem. I would be doing this by answering the questions which is posed in this contest.
For me, I could make use of both methods to take advantage of the two windows. I call my method **the investment split method. I
split my money to two portions. 50% Would go to the exchange wallet, the other 50% would remain in steemit platform.
While making use of the exchange wallet, I buy and hold my steem waiting for price appreciation to make my gains.
On the other hand, the remaining 50 % would be left in the platform to enable me earn curation rewards by voting. This method enables me to take advantage of profitable market positions as steem prices fluctuates while getting fully engaged on the steemit platform.
If I'm given $5,000 I would use it to buy steem and then power up. As most cryptocurrencies are now at the Oversold region including steem, this offers investors the opportunity to buy and hold their steem to wait for price appreciation.
The steemit is quite an exciting and engaging platform to interact with. A platform that is dedicated to rewarding quality contents from content creators.
For the mean time, I'm focusing on quality content creation to make money from the platform. As I'm still young in the platform, I'm limited by my little resources in the platform to take advantage of investing opportunities in the platform. I'm exploring the platform to find the right investment for me as I keep growing my income in the platform. So creating quality contents and participating in contests/engagement challenge, earns me money for now.
Some of the challenges investing the steemit platform include the following:
Lack of adequate information on steem investment options, windows or opportunities.
Lack of adequate information and knowledge still hinders potential investors including steemians from investing the steemit platform. They do not know how to invest, what to invest, and the returns their investment would fetch them.Lack of incentives or bonuses for new verified steemians.
The absence of incentives or bonuses when one is introduced newly to the platform, makes it difficult to grow in the system. If incentives like bonuses is put in place, it would promote the steemit ecosystem.No interest payment on savings.
Investing in the steemit savings does not yield any interest. This makes it unattractive for steemians or investors alike to save their money. Remember, if interest is paid on savings, it would attract more investors, and the savings would boost steem liquidity in the ecosystem.
