This very week, I did took a wonderful trip to my dear village, and it fortunately an experience worth sharing and smiling. As you all know, it's still raining as it's season, and it's the farming season for all. This definitely means there are a lot and much of activities like weeding, harvesting, and too the processing crops going on.

Weeding in the Farm

One of the very first activities I saw and involve was weeding. The dear villagers were busy in removing unwanted plants ☘️ from the farms to really ensure their crops grow well and properly. It was indeed amazing to see how here everyone worked together as one, using the hoes and the cutlasses. The spirit of this teamwork was very very strong, and it really felt like a big family gathering definitely.

Harvesting Crops

Next, I witnessed here was the harvesting of some crops like the corns 🌽. People were already gathering the ripe produce from their dear farms, and too the joy on their faces was indeed priceless. They did harvested everything from likes of maize and the vegetables(pumpkin). I'll say It was hard work, but as well seeing the fruits of their labor made it all worth everything.

[Harvesting and Processing of Cassava]

Processing the Harvest

After the harvesting, the next unique step was processing the crops properly. This definitely involved cleaning, peeling, and also preparing the produce for sale or storage and some for consumption at home. The amazing women in the village were well particularly skilled at this very one, and too they worked quickly and perfectly efficient. I did ignore but joined in and helped with the peeling of cassava, and it was a fantastic experience at end.

My Participation

I didn't just watch; but I rolled up my sleeves quietly and joined in. Pretty Navigating through the farm activities, from the weeding to the harvesting and processing procedures, this was more than spectacular. It really felt great to be part of such pleasing and meaningful work and to contribute to the community in my little way. The dear villagers welcomed me with open arms starting from my own family, and too their warmth made the very experience even more special and dynamic.
