The Present Situation in Nigeria

Just In recent days, so many people if not all have been crying and so bittered about the continuous increase in the fuel prices leading to inflation in every other aspects. All this issue started from the immediate passed Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari and shortly become so worst just after the new government lead by President Bola Tinubu took over, just according to his speech during campaign of removing fuel subsidy, many of this crises is due to that removal of the fuel subsidy and caused the prices of commodities and fuel ⛽ itself to skyrocket.

However, the problem didn’t just stop there as many are arising as days pass by. The Fuel prices have been increasing steadily every month since 2023.

The Impact on Everyday Life

This very constant rise in fuel prices has really led to an increase in the cost of food items, transportation fare, and other essential items like household utensils and more. People are really struggling to cope most especially the mere/common citizens as prices keeps going up each day, and despite the protests carried out few months to great awareness and show grief, the government yet hasn’t taken in any action to help reduce the burden but Instead, the situation keeps getting worse as they keeps doing what unnecessary to some point it looks like they are the one deliberately involved in this calamity.

  • And Just when we all thought things might slightly improve a bit with the approval of the Dangote Refinery with licence and direct involvement in refining The Nigeria Crude oil that'll ease the cost of not sending it out for refining and paying a whole lot to convey it back to Nigeria for sale distribution, this steps did create in us a hope to bring relief, but instead we were hit with another blow. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) as early this week announced a new fuel price, raising it from 810 Naira = (3.5 STEEMs) to a staggering 1200 Naira = (5 STEEMs) per liter as
retailed at many gas stations to Users (citizens).
Here's a Breakdown of Nigeria Current Fuel ⛽ Price per liter:
NNPC Mega Station:N897.00
Other Fuel Station:N1200
Black Market:N1500

This unforseen and unexpected increase has really caused even more hardship in the country, leaving many people do much frustrated and traumatized with doubt of never getting better again.

The country current state of the economy has really been traumatizing for many households, specifically the common citizens. Many Families are finding it so harder to at least afford a three square meal 😔, basic necessities at home, and the rising fuel prices have so much caused cries and grief in frustration across the country. The government’s actions seem so uncaring, as they are ome directly involve and continue to impose these harsh conditions without really considering the impact on the ordinary citizens.

Conclusion

As we all continue to navigate through these challenging time in country, it’s so much of importance to stay much informed and of course aware of how these changes affect our dear communities. The situation is really tough, but as it's always been that together we can continue to help by supporting one another and push for a positive change one day.

My dear it’s really bitter and sad the way things are going in Nigeria. I was shocked when I heard the recent price of fuel, it’s really not something to be happy about.
Transport fare has being increased x5 and this doesn’t help at all.

Once again so disappointed at Dangote, we all have hope in him and also believe with his refinery fuel price will come down a little but it’s seems to be going high everyday and the president is not saying anything about it 🥺.

Due to fuel prices foodstuffs are getting expensive and expensive each day. Just when I thought things will be a bit better after the worldwide protest but seems we still have a lot of protest to do 🤦‍♀️

At this point we just need to keep hope alive and believe in God for a better change cause Nigeria is getting to where we all don’t know and it’s really sad our leaders are not doing anything about it.

God will help us all. Amen 🙏
