Dear Steemians, it's a pleasure I am writing this report to really share some important changes that's happening in our neighborhood and particularly this one at my friend's place caught my attention during my recent visit.
As you all know that neighborhood watch reports always help us keep each other more informed about what's going on around us entirely to maintain a safe and more friendly community.
A New Building Erected |
---|
During my recent visit this new year to my friend Ndifreke's place at Ikot Ekpene Road, I did noticed a big construction project that's really moving very quickly.
All the builders have torn down several of the old buildings to make way for this new and amazing structure. From all what I can see, it definitely looks like it will be a mixed-use building for renters – that I means a place where the people can both live and also do business. The front part to me seems to be a designed for shops or warehouses, while then the back has many rooms that could be for people to live in.

- Though what really concerns me is how close this very new building is coming to the existing houses my friend is living in. The kind space left for my friend and his other neighbors to enter their own homes has become very small and not conducive to move freely with ease, like a tiny pathway. This i believe might make it hard for the people to move around anytime easily as they always did before or even cause problems if there's an emergency in the area.
The Inner Building With Rooms |

The speed of this construction is what amazed me. The workers are all building very fast probably as the owner wants it and instructed the contractor While the new development can be a very good one for our community, it's always important that we make sure it doesn't actually create problems for other people who already live there.

My Suggestions for our community: |
---|
- Let's always try to check if this construction follows well the proper building rules.
- We too should always make sure there's enough space for everyone using to walk safely and freely.
- It good to Keep an eye on construction safety, most especially for children playing nearby.
In Conclusion,
We all need to work together as team, family and friends to keep our neighborhood really safe and comfortable for everyone. If you may notice anything that really concerns you about this or other construction work at your area, please do well to report it to our local authorities that can be of help.
Let's all keep watching out for each other back!
I invite @lhorgic, @jozzie90 and @nsijoro.
