Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 51: A Day Like A Thousand Years.

Greetings to everyone in this community, it's such a pleasure being a member here and I'm grateful always getting Opportunities like this to share my humble opinion and perspective.

• On going through about this contest title "A Day Like a Thousand Years" my mind already flashed back and i could not resist my thoughts 💭 but share my experience with you all.

On a very sunny afternoon, I did had an experience that I really felt like a day stretched out into a thousand years. I made my way to sit out park, so excitedly waiting for my own best friend while growing up, Juliet. We did had planned to engage with play on the swings and eat ice cream while having fun and discussion after a long time no see. But yet as I sat there waiting, time did seemed to really stand still.

I definitely could see the whole clouds drifting so lazily in the sky, and too a gentle breeze blowing and whispering through the near trees. I did watched kids laughing, playing and having fun, but here without juliet, I really felt alone.

I eventually kept checking my hand watch, hoping she would arrive soon, and at same time wondering what could have happen because i could not connect her on call anymore and this was not our initial plans. Each minute to me really felt like an hour. I definitely began to imagine in my mind all the fun we would have if she was around, and my heart ❤️ did raced with much anticipation.

• Finally guys, after all what really felt like forever to me, I finally spotted juliet running 🏃 towads my destination with a very big smile on her face. From that moment, Should I say all the waiting faded away totally. Definitely It was as if the sun 🌞 shone a premium brightness, and I really felt a burst of joy and reality. We hugged so tightly, and then suddenly, the long wait gradually transformed into a beautiful memory that I can tell today.

As we engage to played on the swings, I then realized that even though the day really felt long at first, it definitely became filled with much laughter and genuine happiness-(This reminds me of the saying longest time is better than one saying can you remember your trespasses towards me). Time though sometimes feel so heavy when we are eventually waiting for something, but again it can also fly when we are really having fun.
