Happiness is a decision, no one decides for you to be happy or not, you owned it.

What was one of your happiest childhood memories, and why does it stand out to you?

Memories is something we cannot easily forgotten. Childhood memories sometimes was amazing experience. Reflecting back during my childhood, I have many memories, the one that standy out is during my school inter-house sport.

Two of us were pick to run egg race contest for our house. A hundred and two hundred metre egg race respectively. I was to take 200m while the other person was for 100m. Before the egg race starts, other races like sack, thread and needle were done and one of it was my colleague that suppose to run the 100m.

Along the way,he injury his feet and because of that he could not go for the egg race. My house captain now said I will be the one to run the two race. It wasn't easy when I thought of how to run the race but immediately my mind tells me, you can do it, I take courage, increase my strength, carefulness and did it.

At the end, i took 1st in 100m while 2nd in 200m for my house. My house was very happy, rejoicing for making the house to be among the first three house to win the egg race. And personally, I was happy too, I could not believe I can do it but determination see me through.

Can you share a recent happy moment that made you feel grateful?

Last Sunday which as 20th October,my son become a year older, as a mother, am very happy and grateful to God for keeping and protecting him throughout the months and for his divine Grace to experience the Joy of a Parenthood.

Because of his birthday, my mom visited us after a long time now, I was so happy to see her traveling down to celebrate her grandson. Trust grandma, they will never lack story or song to make their grand children feel her presence.

How do you think happy moments can impact our overall well-being and mental health?

Happiness played a major roles in our lives as such it is not something we should take for granted. Been happy is a good medicine for healthier live, free you from depression, increase mood, self-esteem, improve heart health. Our body has endorphin, it is known as a neurotransmitters that help the body to promote feeling of pleasure once an individual experiences happiness.

The presence of the endorphin is also responsible in reducing stress and anxiety. Our mental, emotional as well as our overall wellbeing will not be healthier as it supposed to be without happiness, no matter the challenges around you, try to be happy, cheerful at all times.

Do you believe that happiness is a choice? Why or why not?

Yes, it is. There are certain people in this world that no matter what they have or what someone do for them, they will never be happy and there are those that a very common thing like good morning gives them the inner Joy which can make them to be happy throughout the day.

Take for instance as a steemian maybe you make a post for two or more weeks without any vote from curators, no booming, maybe the highest vote you have in a post so far is 00.012 cent, humanly you will not be happy because of your time, efforts, data you put to be active is worthless.

To some, they might get angry and stop posting and to some, they may want to know why their post is not favor either by curators or booming, maybe through reading other people post to know why he/she has a vote. They learn a new thing, apply it and continue keep posting without looking back at all the post made without vote, definitely one day, he will surprise to see an exciting vote in his post.

So I believe that happiness is an individual choice.

How do you cope with difficult times to ensure you still find moments of happiness?

Every individual experiences difficult moment in their life, what you can do in order not to weigh you down, gives you happiness. To me, mostly, what still keeps me during difficult moment is

  • Music: Many people find very difficult to cope with music, they believe is a form of distraction to them but is the best in times of difficulty. I can play any good music of my choice or raise a song on my own and make myself feel happy. Don't be surprise if you found yourself dancing along side with the music.

  • Play Game: Engaging myself to play some of the game I have in my cellphone has also be of help to me. Ludo and temple run game are the two games I love playing.

  • Facebooking: I can watch short movies, cooking, pranks or chat with my Friends to have a relief.

Difficult times can easily make someone to lose self-esteem, depression can set in which is not good for our well-being so in order to overcome, you must find something that you like, love to do and get rid of it.

The happiness that we live is always in our daily lives but sometimes that happiness will be there during our childhood, indeed it is very scary in childhood we always get a good opportunity to continue to live a relationship with each other. Parents are very valuable for us to do what we want to achieve, but with the support of parents, maybe we will always succeed in achieving that success
