The economic situations in the country had made many people to adapt to the new change.

What difference did you notice as a result of the change in environment.

Am in Uyo but different location due to my relocation to a new place. Here in my new apartment, the first thing I noticed when I packed in newly was that there's no provision/food store where you can easily buy and return home. How did I know this?. My lighter got spoit and I couldn't fix it, then I move out in search for a lighter.

Oh my gosh 😂, I nearly cry. I went from where my house is to the last point in the area, I couldn't see what I needed. Since the lighter was necessary, I had to asked someone where I can buy it and the person told me that the distance is far from me that here, hardly you find a place to buy that's there area is just like estate.

Where people buy their goods outside before coming in. She then told me to wait for her to bring matches for me to used when I go out the following day I can get the lighter. Since it was in the evening around pass 6pm, I had to wait and collect the matches.

Secondly, the area is not busy compared to my old place where you can see people still moving in and out in the streets. Let's assume you're coming back a bit late by 9:00pm, hardly you pass up to five(5) people's on the street. By this time, everyone are in their various houses while some are already deep asleep.

At first, I felt bad but since there is nothing I can do, I have to accept it and look for ways to adapt with the environment. Now and getting used of the environment.

How did you cope/ how are you adapting to the new environment?

Am a kind of person that can cope in any environment I found myself. My grandma used to say one proverb, *** When you're opportune to travel to any place, try your possible best to adapt and suits there, that adaptation is vital in life***. She likes using the word bend as an example. She will say, uwa mma, if you go to a place and you see people bending, make sure you follow them and bend, they might be a reason why you see everyone bending.

My grandma example is what I like doing. Honestly, am not regretting. Like the new environment, I try not to get bother because of not having shops around to buy anything. All what I do is to make sure, any day I go to the market, I buys all the necessary things I will be needed in the house so as to make use of them when need arise.

If you were asked to choose, would you prefer the old environment to the new or otherwise? Share with us your reasons.

Well, if am to prefer my old environment, it will be because of many availability of shops around the place which make it easy to get what you want even at the point of emergency. Also, there's still hope to buy anything you want as late as 11:00pm.

Apart from the above reasons, I prefer my new apartment. Here, we have a steady power supply, the place is close to the main road which gives a free and serve access to the house when returning late.

The place is also spacious compared to the old environment. Most expecially, the landlord is not leaving in the compound, we are only four tenant minding their own business and I love it that's way.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
I've been to somewhere similar where I had to go miles to get match stick. Like, this was a problem to me and I heard that before coming into the village, you must buy something outside as you've said. Thanks for sharing how you adapted to this kind of place. I'm impressed
