Introduction

Just like he stated in the post of the contest, there are so many things both men and women do in order to meet up. This is mostly due to the importance the society attaches to affluence and wealth. A good heart is no more recognized, only the rich and wealthy are regarded. This have resulted to lack of impatience by many as they desire to get rich by all means.

My Story

My story is a real life story of two friends. This happened some years back while working as a bank official.

These two friends were very close, same with their families. They were in the same line of business. I had the opportunity of managing both accounts.

Over time, the businesses grew organically but to the chagrin of one of them called Mr Obi. He was not satisfied with the organic growth of the business, but Mr John was very happy with the progress.

As at then, in the early 2000s, each of these men's account turnover grew from 309,000 Naira to 1 million Naira. It was really progressive.

However,Mr Obi wanted something much more. So he opted for an option even his friend never knew of.

On one particular day, I received a cheque deposit of 20 million naira into Mr Obi account I called to confirm if he was aware of such deposit into his account. He confirmed being aware of the deposit and later said it was the proceeds coming from his new line of business.
From that time onwards, his behaviour changed, avoided his friendd and requested that he be given another officer to manage his account. I was really surprised at his request but no problem. It did not stop there. He started avoiding me like a plague. I tried finding out what was his reason, but no response from him. The friend was rather amused by his change of behaviour. So we decided to watch where this will end.

On one nice morning, the wife called me on phone that the husbands account should be blocked from further withdrawals immediately.
When she later came to the bank, she was crying and told us that her husband died this early morning. It was just like a joke, since the man came to the bank around 4pm the previous day to consumate a transaction.

After about 3 days, the wife came to the office and told us the husband joined a cult to make money faster. Inside his wardrope, there was a stack of sacks on which the date he died was written on them.

Additionally, a man he never knew came around that same day she saw it and demanded that the sacks be given to him, which she willingly did. It was then the cause of the husbands death became so glaring. He gave his life to amass wealth.

Mr John never deem it fit to follow that road, rather he preferred the organic growth of his business.

As at today, Mr John is a very happy and rich middle aged man, living happily with his wife and 4 children. He also have all the things Mr Obi acquired over that short period of making money and much more today.

Morale of the story

Mr Obi wanted to make it early and never wanted to be late. However, in the process, he became late and never benefited from what he thought of making it early in life.

On the other hand, Mr John took his time, even though it might be late, but he still achieved his heartfelt desire while still being alive.

This is a great lesson for us all today. It is better for us to be late than never being there at all.

Patience is key to the right success in life.

And even the Bible asked, what will it profit a man to gain the whole world and loss his soul.

It's so sad how people go about trying to make it at inappropriate time.
