The rate of which the price of goods and services increasing every day is becoming alarming, which is causing hardship and suffering to the citizens of my country
If you compare the price of items from the beginning of the year till now you will see that there's a massive increase in price.

what is the situation in your country currently? Has items in your country increased in price lately?

The price of a these items is almost doubled compared to before

Nigeria is just getting worse by the day, and I must confess that if it continues like this, we will all perish in this country.
Nigeria is currently known as a place of poverty and suffering, if you are a lame mam in my country I tell you, you will not surveillance because even those that are working are complaining about the situation of the country compare to those who don't have a job.
People are really suffering in my country, and the government is not even concerned. The situation keeps getting worse each day.

I just pray that with time things get better, if not we will all suffer from this bad economy.

Trying to figure out wether to purchase a new screen guard on my moblie phone or not because of the increase in price

The price of items has a massive increase lately in my country, and we, the citizens , are feeling the heat.
When you go to the market today and then go tomorrow the price has increased, infact inflation is the headlines of my country because of the increase in price of petrol.
They is no fixed price as marketers sell the way they want, this is not good at all because the government are the cause of all this mess happening in my country.

Mention 5 items in your country that have increased in price. How much was it before and how much does it cost now( it will be nice to also show the price in steem)
ItemsPrice beforeCurrent price
Bag of rice40,000 NGN (143 steem)90,000 NGN (323 steem)
Bag of sugar75,000 NGN (269 steem)85,000 NGN (305 steem)
Bag of pure water250 NGN (0.89 steem)450 NGN (1.69 steem)
A bottle of coke150 NGN (0.53 steem)300 NGN (1.077 steem)

Honestly speaking, it's not an easy experience at all because I am really feeling the heat, I just try to manage with the little I have and I also thank God that my father is a soldier so no matter what at the end of every month he receives a monthly salary that he use to take care of us.
Although the salary is not even enough but we are just managing ourselves because we have no option.

Steemit is a source of extra income for me so it help me financially to take care of my personal needs, I am also a farmer so I try to make some sell from my products to support my family.
My mum is also a businesswoman, and she tries to assist in her own way, so overall, it's not been easy at all.

Our leaders are the ones causing hardship because of their greediness. Instead of taking care of the current situation, they are only concerned about their families.
You wilk see a politician stealing money anyhow, and nobody is talking about it. The money that they are supposed to use to fix the crisis in the country they will use it for their own selfish interest.

Our government is the cause of all the happening in my country, and this problem started immediately when President Tinubu was sworn into government.
He just went ahead and removed fuse subsidy, and this is when the whole problem started from, because once there's an increase in petrol automatically, the price of everything will also increase.

If you have an opportunity to leave your country to another country for greener pastures, which country would you like to travel to and why?

I will definitely go to Canada immediately without hesitation, I have already said to myself that if I have the opportunity, I will get the hell out of this country immediately.
Because nothing is just working, the rich getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. This is to show the level of corruption in my country.

Canada is a very beautiful and wonderful country that has zero tolerance for racism, so as an African it will be privileged for me to be in this great country I will really enjoy my stay there as they will welcome me with open arms.
Canada will be quite different from Nigeria by far because they will value my education and also skills that I have, I will be able to utilise it freely there than in Nigeria.

I am using this opportunity to invite @simonnwigwe, @pandora2010, @josepha and @saintlelvin17 to join me and participate in this contest

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
This is no longer funny as cost of living is already killing the living. The standard of living is raised that's why I'll advise everyone. Instead of looking for a better human government to solve these problems, look for a better opportunity to challenge the economy with your income. Thanks for sharing
