Soundtracks. I love sound tracks. They are just there to fit into any situation especially in movies. When danger is approaching, there's this nostalgic, low, tensed song that would be played to portray horror and terror. These low, tensed, nostalgic songs is termed soundtrack.

My understanding of soundtrack

A soundtrack is simply the combination of original music as well as pre-existing or old songs or some other audio elements that are selected to enhance the narrative of the media production. Soundtracks are carefully composed to enhance the overall performance of the media production which serves various purposes such as enhancing storytelling, reinforcing themes, creating tensed atmosphere, setting up mood as well as creating emotional impact.

The combination to produce a soundtrack can vary from pop songs, rock, hip-hop to classical or even more depending on the tone of the media production so as not to go off. These soundtracks are created carefully by music supervisors and composers who work alongside the movie creators to ensure that the music they produce enhances the overall performance of the media production.

As I said earlier, there are some nostalgic songs that would be played to depict horror which would make the viewer have a clear view of what would happen next. Personally, I have soundtracks I love.

My favorite soundtrack

My favourite soundtrack is that of Ina Kapataid Anak. This soundtrack has always been my favorite for years now. It's a Filipino soundtrack though. I just love everything about the soundtrack especially when it was played in my favourite Philippine movie.

Which movie was it used in and why do I like it?

My favourite soundtrack was used in the Philippine movie, Her mother's Daughter. Majority has watched this movie and is still watching it because of how interesting the movie seems to be. This movie features how a woman named Theresa stole one of her friend's wife babies because she had a miscarriage and left the country never to be seen again. Her friend didn't know until when they grew up to be teenagers.

Wholio, Theresa's friend did his findings and later found out the truth of which his wife was mad at and decided to make Theresa's life miserable. Life went differently for the two and their kids and they faced many ordeals in life. The soundtrack about is used in every moment of that moment. Here are songs that made up the soundtrack.

Soundtrack songsWhere it's used
KalianThis soundtrack is played whenever Margaux, the daughter of Wholio is having the best of moments with her boyfriend, Ethan.
Kung DisalyoThis soundtrack is played whenever Celyn, the stolen daughter of Wholio is having the best moment with her boyfriend, Liam.Screenshot_20230415-045046.pngscreenshot from the movie I watched
Ngayon At KailanmanThis is played whenever a truth wants to be uncovered and whenever something bad is about to happen. Screenshot_20230415-044805.pngscreenshot from the movie I watched
Ikwa LamangThis is played whenever there's so much pain, family members crying, love moments and feelings of rejection and contempt. Screenshot_20230415-045007.pngscreenshot from the movie I watched

I love this soundtrack because it's just a fitting soundtrack, coupled with those music that made up the soundtrack. This soundtrack seems to be nostalgic and plays in a low, soft and emotional way. I can move any viewer to tears as it did me. Those emotional moments, moments where the truth is uncovered, challenges and the likes of them.

I also love the soundtrack because it reads into the hearts. It makes me visualize myself in the movie, doing certain things.

These are two of the songs that makes up the soundtrack.

How often do I listen to my favorite soundtrack?

As often as my phone is alive, I listen to the soundtrack whenever I'm faced with the challenges that are beyond my control or when someone annoys me. Soundtracks make one have the best of experience watching a movie or TV show and it also has some sort of propounding effect on someone though.

I don't know the movie and I don't know the soundtrack.
One thing I can tell you is that the soundtrack is beautiful. It is clear why you listen to it all the time.

Good luck with the contest and thanks for the invite!

Wow. Let me check it out

I wish someone will talk about soundtracks in the Nollywood movies. We do have soundtracks using gongs, drums and flutes to tell us when danger is looming or the lead actor is about to do something rash or crazy. We also have special tracks for crying and wailing...

I appreciate the review. Thanks a lot. I think you reviewed twice
