The picture above has already made the post self-explanatory. It's with tears and pain that I'm writing this post. For the first time I've seen a mother die, leaving her growing child in the hands of her husband to cater for alone.
- What would be on the child's mind not seeing the woman that keeps her smile and wean her whenever she needs comfort?
- How will she understand what death means?
All these questions crossed my mind as the ground has already made food yet to be consumed. Why her at such a crucial time, people ask. Death has done it again, but the good thing about this death is that she fought for 5 good days until the cold hands of death made her weak and unable to further in her life battle. How did this all happen?
How it started? |

Normally, we know a person would soon die when he or she is advanced in age or has a debilitating illness he or she is facing that is on the verge of taking his life. She wasn't ill, no complications, no totally aged, and wasn't physically killed or stabbed by someone. So what happened is the question? There's a saying that unforseen occurrences befall us all at anytime, anywhere.
This married lady, a mother, someone's sister, and someone's wife was the happiest sister when she heard her brother would be getting married in a couple of weeks. Preparations were made, and on the fateful day of her brother's @ubikool wedding, I was a guest, and I witnessed her smile—the largest smile in her life. You need to see the love her husband shows her anytime he gets to stay close to her.
A very considerate husband, loving and caring. Just a few moments with them taught me a lot. I was their photographer that day and did cover the event. I captured her with her brothers. You needed to see the smile this woman wore on her face as her brother got traditionally married. The marriage did come to an end, and by God's grace, everyone left the village including this woman in question.
She arrived at the family compound and enjoyed moments with them before leaving with her husband and baby to their house. The vehicle they boarded was of a known person who was going their axis. On their way back home, the vehicle they were in collided with another vehicle, making the vehicle in question spin over to a nearby gutter. The accident was ghastly, but it was shocking to see that the husband and baby were unscathed.
It was only her that was affected, as news had it she went off the vehicle and hit her head on a tar. She also had a deep injury on her legs. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she would receive immediate help. When she was admitted, the doctor said she was unconscious and would need to be on oxygen till she recovers. This was very much unknown to me until the next day after the marriage. I received a call from @alli001 who broke the ice.
The Fight for life and against death |

I visited the hospital the following day after being told and saw someone who was vibrant and smiling in an unconscious state. I still couldn't believe it was her. Her depressed husband was just helpless and hopeful she recovers. Never had I ever thought this could happen to such a person who's always carefree.
Death wanted her as food the night that accident happened, but it was wrong because the woman death caught was a powerful and strong woman that needed to fight for her life.
I sympathise with her brothers and brothers, giving them hope that this woman is strong enough for death. I even made a post that death found the wrong person and that she would recover from her unconscious state. This faith we had was very strong. This is her lying so helpless. Pictures of her flowed through my mind because once someone is on oxygen, it's always difficult to predict at times.

This is @ubikool sister when she was practicing her nursing program and also the time she usually helps people know the bible, read, and understand it. I was seriously hurt. Her baby was crying; she wants her mother. What would the father tell the daughter? These thoughts ran through my mind.
The Bad News |
---|
On Friday 13th, I saw a post from @alli001 that she's dead. Like.....How? I nearly fell from a hill because of this news. Tears rolled down my cheeks that I couldn't hold it in public. I cried silently, though it was evident. Why her?? Why did death have to suppress her with its stings? She didn't deserve to die in such a manner. I couldn't just take her picture off my mind. See someone I saw very healthy and strong is now dead without growing old.
Dead |

Despite the prayers, we know very well God knows why he allowed such to happen. He has reasons for everything. She's gone, and there's nothing we can do to bring her back to life. That's why we lean on the resurrection hope for comfort and confidence. A man in the scripture said this.

If @ubikool sister should die, can she live again? You will call, and she'll answer on the last day when the resurrection comes to a reality. So we have hope we will see her being brought back to perfect health. If you have lost anyone in death, don't be entirely bitter. There's hope for a resurrection, and even if I should die now, I know very well I'll see myself again in the future.
Such bad news on a good day. Life can be so short.

This is such a heartbreaking and intense experience. It must have been really tough to see someone you know in that state. It's amazing how strong some people can be in the face of such challenges. From Joy to pain in an instant. It's moments like these that remind us of how uncanny and unexpected life is. Take heart my friend, our prayers and condolences to the family.
