The popular lives of every street user is backed up by this untold nature of working hard to fit into the real world. You see them struggle to get means of survival, carry heavy loads, ensure strenuous work and undergo intense pain just to cater for their physical needs. They call this hustle and this is the hustle about life. No pain, No Gain
Do your definition of the terms i.e pain and gain |

Generally we all know these are two different words. Pain, which can be emotional, physical, mentally and socially is a state of being uncomfortable or in a distressed mood. It is state where one feels something is wrong and needs serious attention to. This pain can be caused by injury, sickness, anxiety and the likes of them.
Gain on the other hand refers to an increase in something or an improvement so to speak that has benefits such as profits, knowledge and positive influence. It is a product to hardwork and every other kind of works. In this context, the gain spoken about is highly financially gain and can be received only when one pass through certain stress or hardwork as I may call it.
What do you understand by the statement above? |

In my own understanding, I see it in a more distinguished light and not just attributed to a particular kind of pain. Pain is of different forms. For the purpose of this contest, I'll classify the pain as hardwork and not just physical pain. When the proverb, No pain, no Gain is used, it signifies that one must work hard to gain something beneficial.
Like I said in the onset, the street users go through a lot to gain on a daily basis. Any form of hard work put in that deprives someone of one thing is classified as pain. So that Is how I understand the statement. One must sacrifice his time, money, physical care and wellbeing to earn a living.
Take a look at the contractors, the do heavy jobs which can be very excruciating. They do this to earn. So the statement is very much applicable in all facets of one's life no matter nature of work. You must experience pain to gain. This is especially true in Nigeria and for Nigerians. It serves as a form of encouragement and motivation to the general public to continue pushing through to achieve excellence.

Yes, I subscribe to this school of thought because in as much as we are imperfect, our gain in life doesn't come miraculously as we expect. Even the musicians, the celebrities, the richest today once had a life of pain before they get to where they are today. They are gaining now because they passed through pain to achieve or attain that height...
So if we are to gain today, we must pass through some measure of pain in any form be it stress, anxiety, losses and time consumption...At some point, those who tend to go through extreme pain aren't really gaining. We should choose the form of pain that will produce the gain that would alleviate our pain and not the pain that would add to our pains....
Share an experience for or against the statement |

Take a look at the popular musician Wizkid. If we are to check his background, he was a hustler from the start. He passed through lot of thorns to get where he is today. He didn't just become a musician and millionaire overnight.

He choose the pain that would give him good gain. This is one of the many experiences I have to share regarding this statement. Check the history of those that are millionaires today. They started somewhere. Most of them had painful lives of which they are using their money to wipe their tears.
So with the above, I can confidently say I've found my pain and steemit is my pain. If I don't burn my time and data on steemit coupled with racking my brain, I won't be gaining financially and academically the way I do today.
