Hello, steemians! How are you today? I hope you are as fine as I am. Here is my presentation on the contest: Let's show how creative you are:- Drawing - Housefly. I appreciate @benton3 and the steem4Nigeria community for organising this contest.

What is a Housefly
Housefly also known as Musca domestica is an insect that is found in areas where human beings are both in cities and villages. What attracts the house flies are the garbage and waste kept by human beings which gives a habitable environment for them to live and reproduce. Flies feed on human feces, meat, fruits etc.

Fact about housefly

• Houseflies can taste with their feet.
• House flies can walk upside down.
• Houseflies can see behind them because of their compound eye.
• Houseflies live on a liquid diet because they soak and don't chew.
• Houseflies aid the spread of some diseases.
• Houseflies have a short lifespan.

Importance of houseflies

• Houseflies are a source of food for other animals like lizards.
• Houseflies help in the recycling of organic matter
• Houseflies aid in pollination.

NOW MY DRAWING

Materials used in drawing

• Plain A4 paper
• Pencils
• Colours
• Eraser
• Sharpener

Step 1
I began my drawing from the thorax of the fly. I used my pencil to do that

Step 2
I drew the abdomen and part of its wings. I used a pencil to draw the abdomen and brown colour for the wings

Step 3
I drew the other part of the wings using a brown colour and darkened it very well.

Step 4
I used violet and yellow colours to shade the thorax and the abdomen. I also used a pencil to put the dots and part of its bones.

Step 5
I used a pencil to draw its first, second and third legs.

Step 6
I drew its head using a pencil. On the head, I drew the compound eyes using red and brown colours. I also drew the antenna. I shade part of the head black using my pencil

Step 7
I drew its first leg of the other side and this brought me to the end of my drawing for this contest.

Conclusion
