My Neighborhood Watch #47 - Reporting Events Around Us

Hello friends welcome to my blog as I inform you of the recent happenings in my neighbourhood.

Road Construction

Road construction is ongoing in my neighbourhood. It has made my street so calm with no more noise from vehicles as usual because the road is been blocked for now until they are done.

It has helped the residents of my neighbourhood have a temporary peaceful and calm environment, and I wish it would remain this way.

Although this was how my neighbour used to be some years back when we moved in. But people have begun to build houses around lately and the whole place is now crowded.

The serenity of the environment was our reason for moving in here. You can go out for your daily sometimes stressful activity and be happy to come back to a calm and cool neighbourhood.

Challenges we face due to the road construction

With the good development of constructing good and accessible roads in my environment, it has not been easy for the residents of my neighbourhood. we sometimes park our cars far away from our homes.

where commercial vehicles pick passengers also, are far from our homes we have to trek a far distance and the transport fair is now expensive due to not plying the normal route making the journey longer.

Going to the market for bulky buying for my household gives me lots of because carrying it from that far distance to my house is always stressful.

School children are not exempted from this stressful trekking long distances coupled with the harsh sunny weather. I feel pity for my children whenever they come back from school, but I make sure they get a cool bath when they get home and assure them that it will end soon.

It has affected business greatly in my neighbourhood, some business owners have to close up temporarily for the main time until the road is accessible for customers to come and patronize

Initially, the road construction was slow but they have increased their speed recently hopefully it will be completed soon so that movement will be smooth again.
