What do you understand by the word "AGE GAP" and when can we say there is one in a relationship

_{In my own understanding, I would define "Age Gap" as the number of years an opposite sex have above the other, or difference in age between two people. It is always a concern in relationships, when a lady complains about the age gap between her and her man, that is to say that she really don't feel comfortable with the age bracket, while some seem to be comfortable with the age difference.}

_{Some people seem not to show concern about the age bracket, for the fact that there's love, they won't put their ages into consideration. When a lady is aged above the guy, and vice versa, then we can describe it as Age Gap in a relationship.}

Do you think Age Gap is a problem in a relationship?

_{According to my experience, I will openly tell you that yes!! It is a problem in relationships. Why do I say so? That's because the older one would want a maximum respect from you and would always want to enslave you because he's the older.}

_{Most of them will never take up your advice rather they keep seeing you as their junior sister or brother they can direct and control anyhow. I kept complaining in my own but it wasn't helping so? I quitted hence I was being belittled and taken for a ride. Some of them get to be toxic because of the age gap there.}

Does the Age gap really have a way of affecting relationships? Explain and give some examples

_{Yes it have its own of affecting relationship. There are some attitude displayed by the older person that the younger one wouldn't like, and the older wouldn't want to change or correct it simply because he has control over everything including the life of the partner.}

_{For instance, assuming the guy is older in the relationship, though he loves and care for you but when there's an argument, he will begin belittling you because he's the older one. He will sometimes take your talk and advices for granted and will do as it pleases him.}

Is there any age you are not comfortable with? If your partner has such a gap above you

_{My ex boyfriend was 12years above my age, at first I was okay with it but then he has shown me the reason not to be comfortable with it anymore. So? A guy being 10years above my age don't seem comfortable to me, I will keep seeing him as my uncle it my dad that will never take up advice from me.}

_{I didn't dated all of them, but the few am friends with, have the same attitude and character to display and it's really annoying.}

What should be the normal age gap in a relationship?

_{The appropriate age gap should be around 4-6,7years, it shouldn't be more than this. But for girls that are advanced in years, they won't really have the time to consider age, the guy might be younger than her which could also result to insult from the girl.}
