Before I start, I would love to welcome you to Benin Republic, my greetings will be in french:
Bienvenue du Bénin République
Benin Republic is the Dreamland of every business Nigerians, most especially if you want to grow your business. We have four kinds of market in Benin Republic:
- Igbo markets
- Hausa markets
- Yoruba markets
- Bénin markets
You have to locate any of these markets when you get to Benin Republic as a business man/woman.
Another special thing over here is rules binded citizens. Yes, there are countries like these out there. But Nigeria can't be compare to this, infact Nigerians are considered the world law-breakers.
Béninians are rule keepers. You will hardly see a thief in Benin Republic, stealing freely. Before you can steal, you gots to be certified by the federal government so that when you steal they can easily recognize your presence. If not, if you are got in the acts, you will be jailed and you will nail yourself out with sum of 2 million CFA which is currently 4 million naira in Nigeria currency.
Unlike Nigeria where you have disco halls, circus and nerdy entertainment zoo sound uncontrolled, before you can operate a business like that here, your club or events center must be government approved with verified stamp, the volume of sound release from the speaker must low, it shouldn't be loud, if it's loud, you'll be arrested.
The last thing I want to discuss on is: **their rate of exchange with Nigeria currency is poor. I'm going to listout the rate attraction for every Naira money. So if you are a business man, better pray for Nigeria to develop economically and financially, if not, your currency when exchanged to Benin Republic currency will cause a trembling:
Nigeria money | Benin Republic money |
---|---|
1000 Naira | 500 CFA |
2000 Naira | 1000 CFA |
3000 Naira | 1500 CFA |
4000 Naira | 2000 CFA |
5000 Naira | 2500 CFA |
6000 Naira | 3000 CFA |
7k to 10k | 3.5k to 5k |
.......+ | ........+ |
In conclusion, Benin Republic does not have a well established crude running business like Nigeria, but Benin Republicans are exploring everyday by day
I invite @bossj23, @ngoenyi and @usoro01 to participate in this contest
