I'm from a country called Nigeria which is located at the west of Africa on the Gulf of Guinea. Nigeria has its Federal Capital Territory as Abuja and Nigeria gained independence in the year 1960 and was colonized by the British. Nigeria practice a democratic mode of government. Nigeria is of different regions, including plains, steamy jungles, mountains, rocks, and swamps, and it is known for having one of the largest rivers in the world. We have a central language which is English, but different languages exist in nigeria. Nigeria consist of three major ethnic groups, the Igbo, Yoruba and the Hausa and i fall under the ethnic group of the Igbos. My country has plenty natural landmarks and she's blessed with wildlife reserves. Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa having 219,463,862 people in it. It stands to be the sixth most populated country in the whole world and has a larger population when compared to Mexico, Brazil and Russia. Additionally, my country has one of the largest movie producing company called "Nollywood".

INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT MY COUNTRY

There are plenty of interesting things about my country, ranging from culture to natural resources. Nigeria is a blessed country blessed with natural resources like crude oil, wild life, rocks, plains, and even precious stones. In terms of movies, we have one of the largest film production in the world called Nollywood, and it entertains not only Africans, but all over the world.

The cultural practices of Nigeria is a very interesting one, including the art work and languages of the people which includes Baju language, Kadara language, Yoruba language, ikulu language, igbo language, Hausa language, Tiv language, e.t.c, there are tons of languages spoken in my country. As said earlier, there are three major ethnic groups in Nigeria which comprises of the Igbo, Yoruba and the Hausa. Another interesting and advantageous thing about my country is it's ability to refine petroleum as we have refineries in Lagos state, and in Kaduna State that helps with the processing of crude oil into petroleum.

Which of the things mentioned above do you prefer your country for, over other countries?

Practically speaking, one of the thing i prefer my country for over other countries is our cultural practices. As an igbo, every December we do have a special occasion where the masquerade will come out, dance with some drummers and pursue people around. This is done for fun but when the masquerade closes in, it's no more fun because it flogs anyone on sight except for the traditional ruler who we call the IGWE and his cabinet members. Apart from tradition, another thing i love about my country is the natural resources and it's musicians.. we have musicians like Davido, Burna boy, Kaptain, Wizkid, Olamide, Naira Marley, and lots more.

If you eventually leave your country in search of greener pastures, would you be willing to come back because of your response in (3).

First off, with the way i love my country, i don't think I'll ever want to leave it irrespective of the corrupt actions of it's people. But if i eventually go out of the country for a greener pasture, I'll be very much willing to come back and enjoy the comfort of my beloved country. North, East, west or south, i believe home is the best and my home is Nigeria, i cannot forget bout it. i know plenty things have been happening in my country lately, just just like the embezzlement of funds, killings and lots more, but to be honest, i will always come back to my home to enjoy my interest in it. And to all of the Nigerians out there, it's not easy being a Nigerian, but more grease to your elbow, more strength to conquer and live on.

The cultural diversity of Nigeria has allowed the convergence of many languages and ethnic groups, making it a diverse country, encompassing a large number of African inhabitants.

Nigeria is rich in great natural resources, its main export product being oil.
