Happy new week everyone. Welcome to my blog
Give a brief explanation of what Christmas means to you.

To me, Christmas is simply a season of love. It is a season that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. One thing about this Christmas is that even when the world is crumbling or we are faced with one challenge or the other, the message doesn't change from year to year.

As the season is fast approaching, who would you love to share this season with and why? Are there any special dishes you would love to cook or games, clothes, hairstyles, etc.

Christmas is a season that we normally celebrate with our family, especially those who stay far away from their family. I would love to share and celebrate this season with my mother.

For some months now, I have been longing to spend time with her, show her the love that she deserves no matter how little it is, and also discuss some important issues that can't be discussed on phone calls with her. To my mum, visiting her always makes her feel on top of the world. It is always her period of rest because I would be doing most of the work and chores that she normally does. To my side, I am always sure that I won't be going back empty-handed. She will pack stuff like garri, red oil, and so many other goodies for me to go back with.

πŸ”₯Special dish I would like to cook

During this period, people usually prepare their best dishes, buy or sow new clothes, and make a very beautiful hairstyle to look gorgeous among others. For me, I am going to prepare something different from what we normally cook on Christmas day in our house.

To the best of my knowledge, rice has always been the most popular food on Christmas day. In my house, we normally cook rice and stew and egusi soup, but this coming Christmas, I am going to cook porridge plantain and afang soup.
Afang soup is one soup that I have not for ones prepared in my family house before, so preparing these two dishes will look different to everyone in the house.

In your own view, how does Love and Christmas relate?

Like I said before, Christmas is a season of love, a season to give love. Christmas is an unconditional love of God for his people to sacrifice the life of his begotten son to save us from evil. What is Christmas without love? Isn't it love that makes us want to spend the holiday with family and friends? Don't we exchange presents because we love people and want to show them how much they mean to us? If it wasn't for the love we have in our lives, the whole practice of celebrating Christmas wouldn't make any sense.

Christmas, at its core, is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus was a gift from God and according to the bible, the reason God gave us Jesus is because he loves us. Without love, the gift of Christ and the event of Christmas would never have happened.

Do you see this coming Christmas as a promising one for you? Will you celebrate or rebuke? Any place you would love to visit, share with us.

Once there is life, there is hope. Every Christmas is a promising one for me because we are alive to see the day. I will celebrate it with joy and happiness because it is only the living that celebrates Christmas and not the dead.

πŸ”₯Where I would like to visit
I would love to visit a place called Abiriba in Ohafia Local Government from the eastern part of Nigeria. One of my clients invited me to her husband's Igwa Mang.

IMG-20241110-WA0000.jpgThis occasion is just like an upgrade from one particular age grade to another.

It is a big occasion that requires so much preparation from the entire family. Different dishes, drinks, and snacks will be made available on that day.

What would be your dress code for Christmas?

My dress code for Christmas is often red and white. People usually wear these two colors on Christmas Day because red is considered to represent the blood of Jesus, while white marks holiness and light.

I invite @chilaw, @marito74 and @nsijoro to participate in this contest

Please send the location to your house because I can't afford to miss this plantain and afang soup. I know the soup would be very rich because it's Christmas. It's good to try out something different from the regular. All the best with that!
