Dear diary,

We are in our season of spiritual emphasis which is Prayer and Fasting, the fasting is scheduled to cover the period of 21 days. We started yesterday being Monday 6th of January 2025, which means that we shall be ending the fast on the 26th of January, 2025 being exactly 3 weeks from the starting date.
Today is the day - 2, waking up from the bed in the morning today wasn't easy for me because I slept very late as usual but yet I needed to wake up very early to be at work before 6:00am.

My place of work is far from home which requires that I wake up very early to prepare and hit the road; but unfortunately this period of time I observed that the day doesn't break on time as usual.
The day used to still be dark even around 6:00am and some times till15 or 20 minutes after six (6:15am or 6:20am) before the day would become bright.
One of the major reason for difficulty on my path to wake up is the cold weather due to the harmattan season, but I have no choice than to wake up; that is the sacrifice that follows being a Pastor as well as other related work.
I slept late but must wake up very early to be at the office before 6:00am and to also returned by around 8:00pm or so.

I showered, brushed my teeth, dressed up and left the house for work. From home I trekked to the park which is about 22 to 25 minutes walk, I do trekked because going by the time I do live home commercial vehicles are yet to come out for business in my area. Reaching the park I waited for another 30 to 33 minutes before I tricycle arrived the park which I boarded to office.

Reaching the office the Covenant Hour of Prayer (CHOP) has began already, I was very late for about 20 minutes. I joined the CHOP which ended by 7:00am, afterward I went up to my office and did some data search that lasted until the time for staff devotion.

After the staff devotion I returned to my office and continued with my office daily routines. Since we are in our fasting season, my engagement at the office through out was majorly spiritual.

I returned home after the evening service and broke my fast with white rice and beans cooked by my wife as you can see in the picture below.

After eating I did not waste much time than to sleep since I returned very tired.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
This is serious though.... before 6am? I don't think I'll even think of struggling to wake up by this time because I do sleep late from 4-5Am. Anyways, we all have responsibilities to stick to. Sorry to ask, do you usually eat at home by this time before going to work?

Thank you my MOD for your excellent assessment and Smart and beautiful comment. I indeed grateful.

And the answer your question, I live a life of prayer and fasting Sir. The hunger to achieve my divine agenda for the kingdom has made me to make a decision of skipping breakfast. It has become a part of me even when I am not fasting, meaning I don't eat early at home before living to the office though I know the significance of eating breakfast but I don't Sir.
