Hi guys, I am @dave-hanny, delighted to be among the participant of this great contest from a unique community of steem4nigeria.I am over-excited for such an opportunity to share and show the adjustment that I have personally made to cope with the present economic conditions in my location. Indeed our world of yesterday has changed that no one could explain vividly what the problem is and therefore, since it's obvious that nobody knows the way out, we must try to adjust where necessary and I am here to tell you my adjustments so far so keep reading down my fellow steemians.

what are the economic situation in your country or location as of today.

Actually, around the world or in the country I am, there are lots of economic situation that has been a huge problem in society. Citizens are supposed to enjoy and if not comfortable but satisfied with the little our country has.

Foods costs

One of the economic situations is how food has become so costly that the poor and less privileged cannot feed well anymore. This is mostly because of the cost of fuel and other things which lead to inflation. I could remember vividly as in 2015, a bag of rice can be gotten at 10,000 naira which is equivalent to 68.9 steem but gradually as at 2017|2018 the lowest you can get is about 15,000 naira equivalent to 103.4 steem and surprisingly, there is no bag of foreign rice for such an amount presently😔. A family of two cannot use 10,000 naira which is 68.6 steem to feed for a week because cooking gas per kilogram has gone very high and how this foodstuff is expensive.

Still, talking about how things are very costly, aquatic and other animal feeds are so costly that buying meat or fish is quite expensive. Talk of sugar, vegetable oil, and the rest. If at all anything should be expensive it shouldn't be foodstuff because a man must eat. Another thing inflation has caused the price of consumable goods to be high is transportation which fuel has gone high in price and caused everything to be very high

What are those government policies, or palliatives put in place now to help reduce the over-bearing inflation.

Sincerely, there were some consumables shared with people for covid-19 palliative but the strong ones in power or the leaders bypassed themselves and their relatives so what happens to the rest? Some money was shared also with some persons and I didn't receive any alert of such palliative from the government. The only thing that would help every citizen is for the government should make the necessary adjustment or probably, all we need is better governance.

What are those personal adjustments you've put in place to help reduce the economic impact around you?

Interesting! I was imagining the future from now and felt there would be a big problem in the future if care is not taken. As a graduate without a good job, the little patch-up salary is never enough for me to talk more about the whole family.

So, as the eldest in the family, I have younger ones and my parent to take care of, and therefore looking at how foodstuff is quite expensive, I decided to try farming and I did that exactly with the help of my father last year.

Our farming last year gave us a lot some of which are in the pictures above. This year, with the support of my parent especially my daddy and now you can see my maize and other crops on the farm, we don't buy vegetables from the market, tomatoes, pepper, and corn from the market but what we rather buy is the meat and ingredient.

Do you have any recommendations for the audience today as a way of helping them at these trying times?

Yes! My dear fellow steemians, I am glad to learn from your adjustment and I believe you've learned from mine also? God has indeed blessed our lands to be fertile. Even if it's just your backyard something can grow there even if it's only vegetables it will cover up somewhere for yourself and your family. It's been up till a year now, we've not bought foods like corn or price from the market.

Lastly, some of us are not fortunate to have lands for farming but you that have, don't depend on salary alone but try farming it will definitely coverup somewhere please, thank you all for reading my post, at this point, I invite @yakspeace, @josantos, and @josepha to also join the contest, I love you all.

You really gave a good idea for people to go back to farm and if possible maximizing any space within their environment, this pretty but we also have to understand that agriculture needs to be mechanized for surplus production else the little space in the backyard may not yield tye qty that can sustain everyone. Nice publication but try and be keeping to time so your post can be easily assessed by the community.
