Wondered how a website is created? Let's take for example, www.steemit.com which is a popular website among steemians. This website has webpages which you can access. When you open the site, you'll see detailed information about the platform. Can you design one? Yes it's possible.

I'll be showing you guys the basics of how to create websites for your businesses, schools, online services, etc from the grassroots. Creating and designing a website requires devotion and time. The end result is always be impressive as it's a high income skill. Let's understand what web design is all about.

Web design simply refers to the process of creating and designing websites by combining graphics, text, layouts, etc in creating a functional website that is easy to navigate, appealing to the eyes and meets the needs of the audience.

Asides creating and designing a website, maintaining that website is very integral and important as technical skills and creative elements are required. Web design also involves using programming languages like HTML as we all know to create web pages, displayed on that website in the net.

Various software tools are used in carrying this out which we'll use in the course of our lessons. The software tool we'll use are Web
master and trebidit A website must be;

• appealing
• easy to use
• having positive experience for those that visit the site and
• simple

Why is web design important?

Web design is important in various aspects as it can determine if you'll reach out to many people in your business or not. Let's talk about it in details.

• It creates an impression on customer service. Many website developers are if ignorant about this. They feel they can just create anyhow website. If someone views your website, he automatically knows how you would treat your customers.
  If you don't put much effort into designing a good website that's functional, they'll feel that's the same way you'll treat customers venturing into your business if at all. A good website would also create a good impression that the person offering services care for and will treat his customers well.

• First impression: Your website should give people positive impression or you'll lose them. That first impression that arise when someone visits your page will determine if he'll go further or he'll have a negative impression and doubt the business would be productive with such a website.

• It creates trust. The website you create will determine if customers can rely on you. There's someone that can just visit your page and see its contents and feel that that business won't be productive even if you meant well.

• Your competitors are out there and are ready to collect from you. With your business, you can get business dealers through creating a website instead of relying on the environment. So creating a website as others are also creating such would make you outstanding from the others.

• Your audience should also have a good/positive experience while going through your site. It should be detailed and easy to use/ navigate so that anything your audience is looking for will find.

In web design, you'll learn a lot of programming languages that would help you create an outstanding website for your business.

• Html which means hyper text markup language is the basics you need to know when learning how to create and design a website as it will help you create the contents and structure of your web page.

• CSS which means Cascading Style Sheets is used to add visual and engaging designs for your website

• JavaScript is used to add dynamic elements to a website which includes complex include interfaces and interactive elements for your website.

• Responsive screen sizes that will allow you create websites that look great on any device, is responsive and can fit different screen sizes.

I'll be using Web design to build, create and design a website through coding.

• It helps you learn how to saves cost that you would have used to run marketing campaigns.

• It helps you stand out from your competitors in the economic sector/ marketing as you'll have more customers due to the strategy you employed.

• Increased sales and revenue: Running a web design for your business would help your business/company grow and expand as more would be informed about the business, thereby leading to more sales compared to others that didn't employ this method and lot more to mention but a few.

Conclusively, learning web design can provide you with technical skills, knowledge and creativity. It is an efficient and effective tool for your business, schools, church, online work etc.
