Good evening fellow steemians @steem4nigeria , it's a blessed day I want to share my diary on 8th February 2025 how I spent my day attending my cousin's traditional marriage
On getting up,I had to prepare myself ahead of time,I knew it was a long day ahead of me, I took my bathed,and dressed up.

Traditional Marriage is a ceremonial event of love, individual coming together to perform a traditional rite of acceptance, recognition and support.It's a tradition that unit individual from different tribe, culture the say it our way of life.
The traditional marriage of Mr/Miss blessed, which was held at the bride home town onna local government area in akwa ibom state nigeria,was a beautiful display of culture,and entertainment; bringing together two different villages together with their culture.it was a atmosphere of love thrilling the moment, getting to the venue, everything were in order,the canopy at the right hand side is meant for the groom family, and guest,while that at the left hand is for the bride.
The event was been done in stages, firstly the arrival of the guest, surrounding everywhere anticipating the couples arrival,yeah food was been serve first, with a cool background songs from The entertaining unit.
All traditional delicacies were present,we had

•afia efere
•coconut rice
•ekpang nkukwo
Due to how delicious it was, I tasted all the delicacies.
Everyone were relaxed,waiting for the couples arrival, tradition demands that the couple won't come out together,which means that,the groom family and guests will dance in their son into the event ground,dancing round and greetings of his inlaws,the same thing is being applicable to the bride.Before this could happen,the arrival of the bride parent,dancing their way in.
The arrival of the groom was a moment of joy, everyone filled with excitement. He was smiling brightly and dancing with his friends. Everyone was cheering and clapping along, enjoying his energetic dance moves. His loved ones joined in, dancing and singing to the music.
The groom's happiness was infectious, spreading joy to everyone around him. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and applause.

The guests were amazed by the groom's dancing skills and his fun entrance. It was a moment that would be remembered for a long time, showing the groom's playful personality and his desire to make the day special.
After his arrival,the mc had a game session with him, which was indeed very interesting
After the climax of the groom arrival, everyone were anticipating that of the bride,we were all waiting to see who knows how to dance better,the moment the bride step in,the groom couldn't help but smile at her,seating comfortably and relaxing in his chamber.

The bride didn't fall our hands on her arrival,she danced the joy out of her,with a cool traditional dancing step, I my self joined,and the entire family members, with her friends.We were all laughing and having a great time, and the music was really lively. The bride was beaming with happiness, and it was infectious - everyone was caught up in the excitement of the moment. It was a really special and unforgettable moment,at a point I began anticipating for my own wife........
She had the game session also with the mc,she wasn't left out, the mc made everyone laughed to the point of breaking our ribs.after the end of the game session she was allowed to go joined the groom at the chamber.
That wasn't all,we got to the point where the essence of tradition had to set in,the bride took her husband to her parents for an introduction with a bottle of whine,in acceptance to her proposal the parents and the entire family will drink the wine at her presence,the prayed for her, gave her advice and how to respect her husband.

This was also applicable to the groom, the last but not the least was cutting of the traditional cake and a closing prayer.
Traditional marriage is one of the ways of promoting and maintaining socal norm,and our culture.
Finally I was really tired, I had to find my way back home, arriving home, I showered and slept off.
