On Saturday, 2nd of November 2024, my neighbor's daughter holds her traditional wedding according to the customs and traditions of our people(Eggon Culture)

A traditional wedding in our culture is a day set for a man who wishes to get married to a woman to bring all the items that are required of him so that traditionally the woman will be recognized as his wife.

So, the fiance to my neighbor's daughter brought all the necessary items that were required of him so that traditionally, the girl would be recognized as his legal wife.

The following are the items that were brought According to Eggon Culture and tradition for a traditional wedding. e.g locust beans, cooked goats, cooked chickens, pig, red oil, minerals, beer, etc

I am so happy that I was present at the traditional ceremony ground and I must tell you that it was one of the best traditional weddings I have seen throughout the years.

All the items were brought to my neighbor's family as expected and the whole environment was filled with love, happiness, joy, and beautiful celebration. It was indeed a beautiful day in the entire community and I was so inspired by the way the traditional wedding took place.

After the presentation of items, a group of Eggon traditional dancers started to display the cultural dance and that was how it was expected according to the customs and traditions of Eggon Culture. According to our people, the traditional dance is what makes the traditional wedding a complete and successful one.
