Let's show how creative you are: drawing - owl

A warm welcome to my blog my fellow Nigerian steemians, it is I @emmaboy23 and I would very much like to partake in this contest organized by @benton3. Its always a pleasure and a joy to me to join in a drawing contest, because its gives me an opportunity to share my talent with you guys in steemit. Today what I will be drawing is owl as asked by our wonderful organizer @benton3.


Owls are interesting nocturnal animals that are rapidly evolving in so many ways. There are over 200 different species of owls in the world but they all share similar characteristics. Some of the environmental adaptations that owls have are silent flight, the ability to hunt just like other predatorial birds, and keen eyesight. Owls are very silent animals which also fly silently enabling them to catch prey. They also fly without much effort because their wings are large enough compared with the size of their body, with a large wing and a small body size an owl may fly past and may not likely hear them, and this is the characteristics i like of them very much. Owls have such precise and keen eyes which allows them sight prey in the night, Owls have one of the best eye sight when it comes to birds. Now let's go over to the drawing.

First I gathered all my materials needed for the drawing, and I then began by drawing its eyelids in the face.

After drawing the eye lid, I then went to draw the Eyes, it's sharp beak and the face in total.

After drawing the head, I just drew the outline of the wings and drew the body completely.

In step 4, I drew the claws and feet of the owl and while also trying to draw the feathers and wings.

This is where I completed the wings, and make the body have feathers, and drew the stick which the owl was standing on.

This entails me inscribing my username and the title of my drawing indicating i was the one who drew it.
