I humbly welcome you to my blog, it is I @emmaboy23 and its a pleasure being here with you once again reporting the latest and current events or situation happening in my neighborhood. A special thanks to @xkool24 for being able to host this contest giving us the opportunity to report recent events happening in our neighborhood every week.
It is so disheartening and sorrowful when I see children, teenagers and and adult homeless and begging for food. For those of us Nigerians who live in Nigeria you may know what am talking about when i say the hardship in this country is doubling and becoming worst everyday. Take a look at a rubber of rice which is currently sold at N8000 and beans sold at the same N8000 which when both combined is equivalent to N16000 naira, How many Nigerian families are able to afford 16000 naira every week just for feeding not to even mention other bills to pay. This is a small example of the hardship Nigerians are passing through. In a country where we are blessed with natural resources to be used and a fertile land to plant, the government has seen no use in making the most out of any of these gift given to us by God instead they are all after their selfish interest and their pockets.
As about this week which I went to the market I was unable to buy the same items I bought last week, why ? Because the price has changed and has increased. There is hunger in the land and honestly speaking the government is not doing anything about it and it pains me the more. Take a look at our refinery which they have been promising us that they will fix and put it in place, but for over six months now nothing has been done about our refinery instead they go about putting Nigerians money into their pocket and abusing the power given to them. To transport either yourself or your goods from point A to point B is becoming more expensive by the day due to the inflation of fuel prices.
Items in the market such as plantains, rice, beans, tomatoes and garri has become a very expensive commodity in my neighborhood to purchase due to the increase in prices. Many at times I ask myself whether we have a government at all or we are being ruled by a bunch of hypocrite who call themselves government. Nigerians are suffering and trying everyday to meet up with the rapid increase of items but how can an average Nigerian man meet up in this kind of economy when he's salary remains the same, yes there is increase in the market then why doesn't our salary increase as well instead they keep paying us the old salary in this hard economy. All these and more are the common challenges and problems the average Nigerian man faces on a daily basis just to survive and live. I pray that may God help us all.
Inviting @entity01 @saintkelvin17 and @impersonal to join in this contest.
