Hello there, my fellow steemit friends. Hope you all are doing well and having a great weekend as well. In my article today, I will be writing about my neighborhood watch. Here is my entry below
My Neighborhood Watch |
---|
A busy week it has been.
Monday 18th March,2024 was a sunny and beautiful as I started working at a popular timber market in Uyo. I took a walk around the market. Mbierebe Obio Timber Market is one of the biggest timber market in Uyo.
There you can buy all types of wood and building materials as well. When I talk about building materials, I mean cements, rods, zinc, nails, plywoods, and lots more. It is really a big and busy place. I was happy to resume work there.
Waking up Tuesday morning, I discovered it rained at night and the rain was heavy. I later went to visit my neighbor and I was amazed when I discovered that my neighbor rears pigs. I stood and saw how he feed them and took care of them. The weather was cloudy at first and after a while, it became sunny.
Returning from my neighbor's house, I washed some clothes because of how sunny it was. On my way to work I meet the primary school children playing during their break period. I noticed they male children loves playing football while the female stay in class and play with their fellow friends.
On my way to work, I discovered the road was muddy because of the rain. Some parts of the road was filled with dirty water. I was careful while walking to prevent falling down. By the side of the road, I saw people have started planting. A lot of people have harvested old crops, burn their farms and start new planting.
This act shows we have approached the planting season.
I was happy to see my street so busy on Wednesday morning. I saw a my neighbor start up a firewood business at the front of his house.
On reaching mbierebe market it was busy as well. It was sunny at that moment. I went Ibom Plaza to fix a phone. I realized the competition among people during selling. I was called by almost everybody selling by the road side. I was later directed to Nwaniba road to fix the phone that was with me.
The Nwaniba axis was not too busy as students are not struggling to enter a bus. This is because of the 3 week holiday and it has affected the bus drivers. I finally fixed the phone and I was on my way to work.
On reaching mbierebe market, it was getting cloudy and I knew it will rain. I stopped by to see a friend of mine who sells firewood at the market. He hurried to cover the firewood as the rain started falling. It didn't rain for long and I was headed to my workplace.
On reaching my the timber market, it wasn't busy because of the rain that fell. The weather remained cloudy till I got home. Passing a primary school field, I saw a lot of children playing football. I watched them play for a little while and I was headed home.
The weather condition was good. Businesses were running smoothly and I was happy I made sales.
